I contacted N. Chasen and Son to replace our shutters. While working on the quote for the shutters via email, a wind storm tore some trim off our house, so I asked if they could include that as part of the work (as well as replacing some siding and a louver). They sent someone out the next week to check the shutter dimensions and determine what was needed for the trim, siding, and louver. They suggested repainting the louvers instead of replacing, and sent me a quote for all the work and to get it scheduled. On the scheduled date, Marcus was on time and very friendly. He walked me through everything they were going to do and explained that the shutters were on backorder and would be in later in the week, but he replaced the trim and painted one of the louvers (he needed a longer ladder for the second). He had to return a few times to finish the work, but he made sure it was all completed and the quality is fantastic. I'm very pleased with my experience with N. Chasen and Son and will definitely hire again when I have need.

It didn't because as soon as I mentioned my AC unit the girl answering the phone interrupted me to tell me they didn't do HVAC work - I didn't even get to describing why I needed them to come out. I just said thank you and hung up. Guess they really don't listen to customers.

My foyer area is a very high space. I am happily satisfied with the paint color chosen and the job beautifully done.

I was very impressed by the all members of the N. Chasen team that I and my sister interacted with during the full process of assessing, repairing, and painting my house in Henrico. Everyone from the staff in the office to those in the field were courteous, professional, friendly, and skillful. The that included photos of areas that would be repaired was particularly helpful. The carpenters who were thorough, to adept and respectful to my sister were much appreciated. These guys do excellent work. You'd never know there was damage throughout our walls and ceilings. The interior paint job was flawless & matched perfectly. They honored fair pricing with our contracted and handled some unforeseen issues professionally and promptly. They were great to work with and would use them again.

I had painting and staining done on exterior areas of my home. I cannot say enough good things about my experience. First of all, the work was well done, in fact outstanding high quality workmanship The employees were very professional. The showed up early and worked all day. The foreman made sure that he communicated with me about everything. This was a well managed project that did not leave me with some of the usual contractor headaches. I would highly recommend this company and use them again in the future.

Extremely rude! Do not waste your time even speaking to them!! I was speaking to them to try and set up a time to get estimates for a roof and then to try and still give them a chance to do work on the windows and they were just rude and not helpful at all. And I am pretty sure they reported me because they did not like my first F review, so they probably have far more and they got them removed.

I used N Chasen & Son to stain my decks and paint some trim. I worked with Justin and Denise to coordinate the job and they were great, but most of my emails were to Justin. Since I live out of state from the location of my property, Justin coordinated most of the job for me. He answered all my questions, kept me updated, and emailed me photos of the job for my review. The Chasen crew did an excellent job with the painting and staining, I am happy with the quality of their workmanship.

Was asking questions regarding decks and they seemed to know less about decks than I did! These people do not know what they are doing

This is the most professional contractor I have had the pleasure of hiring. They were prompt for the appointments, showed up when they said, completed the job and extremely responsive. Everyone was professional and helpful. A truly first class company that I would not hesitate to recommend and will definitely use again. You may find another company a little less expensive but won't find another one that gives you this type of value for the money.

They were courteous and timely. The team lead of painters took the time to explain what they were going to do. They were prompt and very respectful of my time. I would work with N Chasen & Son again.

Went well, some discrepancy concerning one or two coats. We held them to the one coat price and management agreed.
