I have been with Hungerford Heating and Cooling for many years. In the servicing department Monica is attentive, polite and knows who needs to come out to help with your problem and getting you serviced quickly. The young lady who answers the phone Angela, is very polite and knows right where to direct your calls. In the field my service person has been Chuck so I have to call him out here for exceptional service as well. Hungerford has been around many, many years and with this team I've described with their customer service by all, they will continue to be the staple company of mine.

The folks at Hungerford were great to work with. The estimator (Andy) can out and was very thorough, professional, honest, and quick to provide a quote. The quote was lower than 2 others that I had.

We have a contract with them so they come out once a year and service both units. I wouldn't use them if I didn't feel comfortable with them. They seem to be pretty much right with everyone else on price. Whenever I call them they are right here.

I got free estimates from two providers.  Their cost were on top of each other.  I went with Hungerford because their installation plan included preventive items that reduce the chance of damage on both the equipment or the house due to negligence.  The salesperson, Andy, was patient in explaining the details.  He also went back to clean up my house after the crew left.  Overall a pleasant experience with this company.

Our heat was not working. (Another provider-family friend, BAD PLAN- had told us we needed a part for our emergency panels, unplugged them, and promptly went to Florida for the past 2 months. We didn't know he was going out of town. We tried to wait it out, but with the stretch of extremely cold weather coming, we broke down and called) Anyway, the tech, Robert, ascertained quickly that there was nothing wrong with the panels. The problem was the thermostat. He replaced it quickly, checked to make sure everything was working properly, and was done! Addressing the concern we had with our panels coming on too frequently in the past, he encouraged us to "just give us a call" if we didn't feel like the thermostat fixed the problem. Again, he did check the panel function before he departed, and determined they were functioning appropriately.

Our appointment was originally set for between 10am and 1pm. At 9am, we received a call from the Hungerford Dispatcher, asking if we would like the tech to come on ahead. Since we both have to work, we were delighted to be given this option.

I could not be more satisfied. From the initial phone call on 2/12/15 to the departure of the tech, Hungerford was professional and friendly. Highly recommend!

Andy was very easy to work with, was there when he said he would be, gave a great price.  The installers came out and installed the new unit, cleaned everything up and everything worked great.  A few months later, we had an issue.  He came out with the service manager, did everything he could to get it taken care of as quickly as possible.  Turned out it was a design flaw and replaced the part with a newly designed part instead of just a replacement part.  Working great.

On time....layed down protection on my carpet (not too many service people do this!) Very polite, hard working servicemen.

Over the years my service experience with Hungerford has been excellent, with very few exceptions.  In installing the Munchkin Heater mentioned above, while it was clear that the Hungerford service people were relatively unfamiliar with this relatively new product, installation went smoothly. The only exception -- the pipes venting across the cellar to the outside were not as carefully installed as the Heater, and caused minor, annoying problems over two winters with some leaking condensate.  (I was told some years later that Hungerford used to subcontract that part of the job  but no longer does so.)  Hungerford was quick, as always, to fix the problem, but in this case it was a somewhat messy "fix," with some of the fluid sealant landing on my cellar's tile floor. 
 I have enjoyed prompt, pleasant and professional service from Hungerford, including the ever-cheerful Willy, who schedules work, Andrew, and others, all of whom have always been responsive, appearing as needed to coax my balky Munchkin back to life.  Hungerford people have also spent time on the phone advocating for me with the (out of state) Munchkin company, and have given me a much-appreciated break on some costs.  
It's true that unexpected repairs may have canceled out some of my cost savings on fuel (which have been awesome--I spent $840 on gas in 2011  with the thermostat @ 68 during the day and 64 at night, and this year it's tracking even lower. ).  I'm still sold on high efficiency furnaces, & when I replace the Munchkin I'll still look to high efficiency natural gas for my heating needs. 

Good.  From the inital service man to the sales rep to the installation crew, all were polite and knowledgable.  The installation took longer than I had anticipated but they were very apologetic.  I wanted to go with a company that had been around for a while and had a good warranty. I think I got what I asked for.
