About us
Humanitree is a full service, locally Richmond owned, tree removal company that takes pride in letting nothing go to waste. We take great care into making sure that every part of the tree is recycled in its most beneficial way, and that no part of the tree ever ends up in a landfill. Everything from the stump cut on up to the limbs are used. This is done by using one of our two sawmills that turn... these beautiful hand harvested trees into valuable lumber and wood slabs, that is either donated through philanthropic efforts or made into fine furniture. We make sure that it appears that neither the tree that was removed, or our equipment was ever there. This low impact policy is done by using rope systems and professionally trained tree climbing arborists, rather than using heavy bucket trucks and equipment that often damage other existing root systems. The close relationship that the climbing arborist has with the tree allows him to hand select beautiful, naturally unique pieces that will later grace someones home

And there were tons of obstacles: power lines, a shed, lots of landscaping, fences, etc.
I really can't say enough good things.
Oh, wait, I can. They are really good people. We noticed that part of the big hedge hadn't been trimmed, but we got an email from Luke later that day that they didn't take the rest of it down because there was a cardinal's nest with baby chicks in it. So he's going to come back out in a few weeks once the babies have left the nest.
