They have a strange way of inducting customers into their service department. You first come in and meet a service advisor and sign in. Once you are seated you are called backup to an service writer to finalize your needs for your car. While you wait, you work on your computer or read a book. You think that the next time you will need to stop everything is when they have your car ready. O no, they need to talk to you about your repairs, at their desk. The seating area is out of view of the service writers, So that means you pack up your stuff or leave it attended.
They informed me that a repair had to be done for the tire rotation. I approved it. After three hours for this service visit to be done, I cash out and find my rear view mirror has been damaged while in their hands. The mirror worked perfectly when I arrived. The service writer looked at it and agreed their was a problem and asked for me to bring it back to sort it out. A mile from the dealership the low tire light comes on and there is no oil sticker for the oil change.
When I brought the car in on 3/12/2014, I was informed that the service writer was off and a new writer would handle it. While trying to explain the problems with the car I was continually interrupted and was tried to be made to feel stupid. The Service Manager was the main person involved in this action. Once he saw that he had gone over the line, he handed me over to Barry Moore the GM that walked up. He knew nothing about was going on and just made things more confusing. Once the dust had settled they decided they would get the car fixed. This took very little time and I was greeted by a different writer, this was odd, most writers take you all the way thru your visit. She informed my all was done and quickly went over the paperwork. The funny thing is the mirror that they damaged was not repaired. They claimed it was not their problem. I asked to see the GM and he was gone. I asked to see the Service Manger and he was gone. Once I was in my car I could saw the Service manger reappear in the office and when he saw me he ducked behind a post. He stayed there until I was leaving.
I have dealt with many dealers over many states and have worked for some dealers. This was the first time I have ever felt abused and used by any of them and the funny thing is they did not care. Their answer was leave and don't come back, " IT DOESN"T BOTHER ME" that was the GM's statement. Trust me, I will never deal with another Haley Dealership again. I guess they are big enough now that they do not have to CARE. Think hard the next time you buy a car. Service is very important!!!!
