Good company to work with, Fran does an outstanding job.

I've already recommended exterior alternatives, inc to our family and friends. But I feel the need to write a review on here as well. We could not be more pleased with this company. The moment we started our project, companies came out of the woodwork to give us a quote for vinyl siding. Fran took the time to go over details, giving her honest recommendations. Never once did I feel pressure from her. This was huge, believe me there was plenty of pressure from other companies. Fran took time to make sure we knew exactly what we needed. She was extremely easy to work with. The project itself was very fast once it got started. The crew was extremely professional, respectful, and conscientious of my family. I was able to approach them with questions if needed, and Fran came out to check quality everyday. The team has been together for several years now, which is impressive in this line of work. The quality of their craftsmanship is excellent as well. We have more projects in mind for the future. And we will be going with exterior alternatives, inc. We really are grateful to have found such a solid team to work with for our home.

Contractor completed an inspection, provided a detailed description of the work required, provided displays of the material to be used, provided a breakdown of the cost, time frame to complete the activity and acceptable payment options. Work force were proficient in their actions and on time everyday.

Fran and the work crew headed up by Orlando did a fantastic professional job from start to finish. The pricing was very reasonable and the quality of the work is five stars. They made design suggestions along the way that added to the looks and performance of the siding and they made certain everything was done correctly and on time and the job site cleaned up better than they found it. I really appreciated seeing Fran each day checking on me and my satisfaction with the job being done, it's not often you get that kind of attention. I would highly recommend Exterior Alternatives.

I hired Exterior Alternatives to replace our roof, gutters, siding, and exterior window trim. Fran was great to work with. She brought over siding samples on a few different occasions to help us with the color choice, and responded to emails/texts promptly throughout the entire process. She also visited the job site frequently to check on the work and to make sure we were satisfied with everything. She definitely cares about the quality of work she provides. I would highly recommend Exterior Alternatives to anyone looking for exterior work on their home.

Fran and her crew are awesome. Upfront , professional, curteous and talented. Fran is a no nonsense person and knows her stuff, she kept us informed and answered all of our questions. 100% go with her and her crew! We are more than happy with how our home has turned out.

Fran was there to explain it all every step of the way. It was as if I was giving birth & she was the midwife!!!! LOL! Very important for a woman homeowner to trust contractors without feeling pressured or duped in the process & it was nice dealing with a woman contractor. Nice crew as well!

Fran and crew did an awesome job on a very large project! New siding, New windows (24 windows), New roof, frame repair, door install(s), gutter install and decorative stone was installed on a last minute decision. Reliable and and walked us through the whole process. She came back to tidy up the punch list and the wife and I are extremely satisfied with her honesty and professionalism. Fran's pricing and workmanship are actually unbelievable comparing apples to apples with other companies/estimates . . . they could not touch her! We have her estimating another job right now.

I never give 5s on evaluations, but with this company, I will make an exception. The price that was quoted was everything, even if more material was needed during installation. Because of the season and how wet it had been, we were promised it would be about 6 weeks before they could start. Within two weeks they started and were done in a week. Part of the job was quite difficult with some strange angles and roof lines. No problem. Her crew completed the job, then came back a week or so later to tie up a few loose ends that could not be completed during the installation. Overall, we are very happy with not only the job, but the professionalism of Fran Slaughter. We would recommend her services to anyone.

We had new roof, siding and gutters installed. The process was seamless from start to finish. Fran is fantastic to work with, responds immediately to questions and is frequently onsite. The crews were all friendly and professional. Also beat every other quote by quite a bit. I would recommend them without question.

Fran was absolutely fantastic to deal with from beginning to end... I found her very knowledgeable... Her crew was very thorough... After doing Masonite tare off they discovered rot on chimney and window frames, she brought in her carpenter immediately to repair.... I received many quotes from different companies over a 1 year period..I felt most comfortable with Fran who will too.....A+ experience and beautiful finished product....

A bird built a nest in one of our exterior light fixtures, and it caught fire. Luckily, no one was hurt and our neighbors and the fire department saved our house. Our siding, however, wasn't so lucky. We got quotes from 6 different companies in the Richmond area and Exterior Alterations provided, by far, the best price for the same materials! The owner, Fran, was super personable - we communicated frequently throughout the process by phone, text and email. She was always available to answer our questions and those coming from our insurance company (so much required paperwork!). Her team was always on time and completed our entire house in 3 days! They were polite, respectful and made sure to clean-up after each work day. Highly, highly recommend.

Fran provided outstanding customer service throughout the entire process and provided exceptional value for the work that was done. The crew, led by Orlando were professional, fast and delivered a quality result. A complete tear off of the original siding, trim boards, rake boards, made minor repairs, installed new siding, wrapped windows, weatherproofed all work and clean-up took a grand total of 3.5 days, and would have been done in three with the exception of a rain delay. This is the speed, quality and customer service I am accustomed to in New York and Fran and her crew are only 1 of 2 contractors in Virginia I have hired that I would not hesitate to call on again.

We also had vinyl siding, new shutters, porch posts and windows installed and were completely happy with the entire process, from the estimate, the color selection and workmanship. Every part was done timely and cleanup always done each day with Fran checking on each step personally, prompt responses to any concern we thought we had always explained. Other contractors we checked were either too high or used inferior materials for the price quoted. No hidden surprises, just straight talk and honest communication. What we signed on the contract is what we paid. We would definitely recommend using Fran's company for any home improvement or work needed.

Fran and her crew were fantastic!! We got new windows, siding AND a roof. We had prices from another contractor and Fran came in at 1/2 the amount, and the products are top quality. She was very knowledgable and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. Fran and her staff were AWESOME! We had vinyl installed on our home as well as all the windows and sliding door replaced. We are extremely pleased and would HIGHLY recommend! She wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive, however her other reviews spoke well of her service and you get what you pay for!
