Unfortunately my experience was not as positive as the others on this site. Ever Gomez called me about a year later (in late 2022) after his team damaged my bathroom cabinets (described below) and said he wanted to make things right. Perhaps this was due to the legal settlement against him - not sure. We were talking on the phone about how to resolve this and midway through the conversation he told me he was taping me. Then he offered to redo a few doors and once again promised the work would be amazing but would not back this up financially. Then we tried to work through a financial settlement and he said my estimates were too high for refinishing the cabinets. So I offered to let him provide a quote for doing the job properly but I told him I wanted to see the qualifications and references for his contractor but he did not respond. Then we spoke again and he agreed he would put some money towards the repair of the cabinets. We asked him to sign a form indicating he would make payment and we have not heard from him since. Homeadvisor managed to reach him and he stated he was open to a financial settlement several hundred dollars lower than the amount we had already agreed to. If you are doing a large job ask for proof of his legal address and some financial guarantee if he is doing a large job and messes it up. In late 2021 I found him on Homeadvisor and he stated he could restain my bathroom cabinets and make them look brand new. He said he was going to strip and sand the cabinets to bare wood. I suggested he just scuff the cabinets and apply a deep penetrating wiping stain and then a clear coat. He insisted that his approach would be better and he would make the cabinets look like new and that he had experience doing this. So based on the glowing reviews I signed him up. He said he would strip the cabinets to bare wood, sand twice, apply stain and then two coats of clear finish. During the project his staff admitted to my wife they had never done cabinet restaining. Then after he took the doors and we were discussing status he said there were natural imperfections in the staining process but I told him he had to do the job properly. Then he started shouting at me that he was not going to make any money and that we should cancel the job. I explained no one would take over a project mid way through and to calm down. Finally he bought the doors to my bathroom and installed them but he was several hours late and I was in the middle of a meeting and it was now overcast. I looked at the work and it looked a little off but based on his 100% satisfaction guarantee on his web site. The next morning the sun was shining on the cabinets and I looked in horror. Several sections had not been sanded, several sections did not have clear coats applied to them. He didn't cover the bathroom surfaces up so the sawdust from his sanding work was all over the inside of the cabinets. The stain was not even in several sections. So I called him and again he started shouting on the phone and started insulting me. Then he said he did not want to work with me and to get the price of the cabinets and his insurance would reimburse me. Then a few days later I gave him the costs and he said he was mistaken that his insurance company would not cover the damages and he would offer only a 10% rebate on the $3200 dollar job.
