Estes SureMove

My advice: AVOID these guys and pay more to get better service and accountability. It started well enough: friendly and helpful on the phone, lowest price, easy to schedule, the trailer showed up on time and they delivered on time. However, during the cross-country trek an expensive buffet got smashed and other stuff was damaged by water that got into the trailer. We filed a detailed claim with photos. Eventually their insurance company said by form letter that the buffet (which was included on our “declared values list” for additional insurance) was not Estes’ fault and they will pay nothing. In addition, regarding the items damaged by water intrusion Estes has said and done NOTHING and hasn’t replied to repeated calls, emails and voicemail messages, for 3 months. Estes SureMove is cheaper for a reason – their trailers are old, broken and dirty; they take no responsibility and aren’t responsive to the customer.

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. Even their drivers talk crap about their company. They are late, make promises and guarantees that later on, when they can't fulfill them, they come up with hidden contingencies. My experience with them is late as heck, can never get ahold of anyone on the phone when you need to. I guess the reason why there is such long wait times is because there are so many people they screwed. Anyone who gives this company 5 stars is obviously a bot or doing SEO work. I run a company and will NEVER NEVER NEVER use them again for ANYTHING whatsoever. If you are smart, you will steer clear of this joke of a company.

Estes dropped off a trailer at my address and I had 3 days to load the trailer with my furniture and they were to deliver it to my new address. 1-2 weeks after signing a contract they informed me the shipper who was to pick up my furniture for the final leg of the delivery wanted several hundred more dollars because there was a ferry involved. I had informed them from day one I was moving to an island and the only way to get there was by ferry, but they insisted on additional money to complete the move. We compromised and I rented a van and picked up the furniture at their warehouse and completed the delivery myself at a reduced price. This turned out to be a lot more work for me and the final cost was more than the original contract. The only reason I would consider using them again was they were still much less expensive than anyone else I contacted.

They were really good. What they do is they will come and drop off their trailer and you have to sign for the drop off. They will give you 3 days before and 3 days after to load them and then they will drive wherever they would go. They will only charge you for the amount of feet that you have used and not for the wholesale. They also provide storage too.

We moved from New Hampshire to California this fall on a budget and really struggled to find someone reliable and affordable. Several companies we planned to use ended up being un-insurable because they had such bad histories. We finally found Estes SureMove through the moving insurance company. THEY WERE EXCELLENT, professional, and delivered as promised on time. We used less trailer space than estimated, and they decreased the price as promised. FREE storage for 7 days (reasonable pricing after that if needed). Moving was so stressful, but dealing with this company made it way easier.
