Locally owned and part of a national organization serving the metro Richmond area for over 30 years. Residential and commercial alarm systems, CCTV camera systems and access control systems. We offer the benefits of a national company and a locally owned company as well. Dynamark Security offers a FREE basic system that includes equipment and installation at no charge contingent upon a 36 month monitoring agreement with rates starting at 29.95 per month. We offer systems that can communicate to us via phone line, the wireless network or the internet. We custom install every system using our own employees - no subcontractors. Dynamark Security is a dealer for Honeywell, GE and many other top equipment manufacturers.

We had a wonderful experience with Dynamark. The owner came to our home to tell us about the services they offer and made suggestions for what he thought we needed. Installation was scheduled quickly. A couple pieces of equipment were forgotten when installation was done. Frank called to apologize and a return visit was promptly scheduled.

The install went without issues and the system and the tech explained the system clearly. Has been working great ever since. Costs for install, battery backup and monitoring are very reasonable for a non do it yourself system. Would highly recommend Dynamark Security. Frank the owner gets involved with specs for the system and coverage and follows up to ensure that the customer is satisfied.

Turns out I had failed to notify the company when I dropped my land telephone line and went only to cell phone usage.  Wesley checked and explained everything thoroughly and replaced the batteries in my shed sensor. Every time I have dealt with Frank Pegram and his team they have been knowledgeable, patient and thorough and determined to provide the best customer service and product.  I have never felt pressured to invest in security measures outside my budget.  Plus, I realized that last month's missed billing to my checking account was due to a free month as the result my past referral of a neighbor!

They charge for the package, and then they charge us for the monthly monitoring fee. It was really reasonable. We did a two year contract with monitoring. The service has been just fine, we don't have any problem with it at all. They were very prompt in responding when the alarm went off, and it was our fault, and not theirs,  so we can't fault them at all.

I met the provider a couple of times at a couple of the shows because I was under contract contract with another company and wasn't happy with them.  Richard gave me his card and told me no problem that when I was ready he would come by and do a walk through and make a determination on what he felt I needed.  When he came we talked to get me lifestyle and he went through my house and made some suggestions.  I asked for cameras and he wanted to know how many and I said I wanted 5-6 and we discussed locations and he then suggested maybe I should only go with three and if later on I wanted more I could add on at the show price.  He did say that if I wanted to keep with the original number he would be more then happy to sell them to me but why buy more then I needed?  I felt like that showed he was an honest man who had me and my needs at heart not just making as much money as he could.  He arranges to have everything done a couple of days later and the technician was great.  Very professional in his installation and also asking me to make sure everything that was being installed was where I wanted it placed.  After everything was installed he verified it was working properly and then spent all the time I needed to show me how to operate everything I had.  He made sure I understood I was comfortable with everything before he left and made sure I had phone numbers avail;able if I had any questions.  Overall a GREAT experience.  I did have a slight hiccup with two of my cameras in that they were mounted outside and apparently the bluetooth was at the far limits of the range.  The owner of the company, Frank called me and suggested that I consider hard wiring the outside cameras and assured me I wouldn't see any cables and he had a young lady, Teresa that was excellent in doing just that I agreed and she showed up a day later and hard wired my cameras and as of today I still don't see the wires but I have some great video cameras outside my house.  Words cannot do this company justice as to the professionalism, quality and followup they provide as a service to their customers.  For the first time in years I feel safe in my home.

Provider, Frank Pegram, responded almost immediately to my initial inquiry and we set an appointment for a presentation and assessment.  He appeared right on time for the appointment, fully explained how the system worked and went over all of its features.  Then we did a walk-through so he could determine the most appropriate configuration for sensors.  We then set an appointment for installation early the following week.
The installer arrived right on time for the installation appointment.  She described her need for access to power and worked with me for selecting the best location for the control panel for both her needs and our aesthetic concerns.  After completing the hardware installation, the installer walked me through the arming and disarming process as well as how to add and delete users.  She then stepped me through accessing the Total Connect website and getting logged on.  She then showed me how to monitor all aspects of the system online.  Then she showed me how to install the app on my iPhone and how to log on and arm and disarm the system using my iPhone.
I was also provided with a certificate I could present to our insurance company for possible reduction in our insurance premium.

Frank Pegram, owner of the company, evaluated the existing system and made very honest and reasonable suggestions for improvements. The installation was scheduled for the very next day and the service provider was efficient and very neat with her work. She explained all aspects of the new equipment thoroughly. This is a company to be trusted and seriously considered if you are in search of home security. The quick responders who call when you accidentally set off the alarm are also helpful.

They are responsive when we need them to be, but were not harsh with us when a friend set off the alarm by mistake (oops).  We have never had any problems with their equipment, and they are always friendly and courteous.  They never contact us with extraneous concerns or advertising, which makes the service smooth and convenient.

After receiving an estimate for installation and monthly service, the installer arrived at the appointed time. She explained fully what she was going to do and gave me choices and suggestions as to the site for alarm installation. She completed the job in a timely manner. I found her to be knowledgeable and efficient. I was pleased with the installation.
My only concern was that the brochure left about working the alarm system was difficult to follow, although the installer had explained how to operate the system before she left. If I needed to use the brochure to become more familiar with the system I found it difficult to use. It should have included some pictures of the devices and steps of operation that were clearer.

The owner, Frank Pegram, came out to inspect my home and discuss my concerns and circumstances.  He was very professional and personable.  Told me about his company/business.  We discussed my options.  Being that I had a cat a downstairs motion detector was not advisable as she could be read by the sensors and trip the alarm especially since she jumps up on furniture.  He took the time to explain to me how the motion detector worked and why it would not be advisable for me to use one downstairs.  Hence my alarm system got pricey having to cover the windows.  The equipment is mine however and after the contract expires if I should choose to use another alarm company to monitor my home the same equipment can be used.  He also checked the wireless signal during his visit. 
Installation was done by Chris Brooks who was also very knowledgeable and personable.  You could tell that he had been installing systems for some time.  Very neat installation, efficient, asking for input and discussing options.  After installation my alarm system was thoroughly tested and adjusted.  Before leaving Chris also reviewed the keypad with me and answered questions I had (even knew what page to reference for my question!).

This is the 2nd time I have used Dynamark of Richmond. Frank came out to do the initial estimate and write up a contract for security monitoring. Frank is a great guy and is good about asking questions to find out what kind of system you need. We worked up a good system with wireless backup. I believe wireless backup is important because that way even if someone cuts the phone or cable going into the house, the system is still able to call out. The install price was low because I signed a 3 year monitoring contract, but that is fine because I plan on owning the house for a while. The installer came out and he's a good guy too. He's careful about hiding the wires and installing things in a clean manner. The system has been in operation for over 3 months now with no issues. I continue to use Dynamark for my monitoring and I would definitely use Dynamark again to do another alarm system install.
