Within a month, most of the small plants were dead or dying and grass was growing wild through the mulch. I sent them another email telling them that my garden was looking awful. I was told that they will send someone out in September. SEPTEMBER! So I have to have an ugly garden all through the summer! Grass continued to take over and all of the small plants were dead. I was angry to tears. I believe I was treated this way because I'm a single, female homeowner, and a senior citizen on top. I doubt if
a man would have been told to put up with it until September.
Well, September is here and someone did come out. I didn't even notice the little they did until the young man who mows my lawn told me that someone had planted some tiny plants. They didn't dig up any of the dead plants, nor did they do something to keep the grass from growing through the mulch, nor did they replace the dead plants around my mailbox!
NEVER will I deal with these people again, nor will I ever recommend them especially to single, female and/or senior homeowners!
"We certainly don't like to see an upset customer and are usually caught off guard in these rare instances. The work was done as originally agreed upon but unfortunately the garden was never tended to after the installation. We have since replaced the plants that died and even taken to spraying the garden for the weeds came up and put down some additional mulch. We pride ourselves on doing are customers right and have a wonderful track record in doing so."
Highly recommended and we would use them again.
The lawn mowing was not done with care. My Bermuda was always scalped in spots no matter how many times I pointed it out. When I observed them mowing it was obvious that time was the driving factor, not the quality of the job. The grass trimming was done so closely that it was literally killed.
And never let them spray weeds in the flower beds!! Absolutely no care is taken as it was done when the wind was blowing and the killer went all over the place. Everything would have died if it was as strong as it should have been.
The responsiveness to comments and complaints was literally non-existent. I called the president (Andrew's father) and a promised return call was never made. At this point there was no attempt to satisfy me in any way. When I indicated that was going to discontinue their service no attempt to retain me was made or questions asked why I was leaving.
The chemicals that should have been applied to my lawn never killed a single weed. They were much worse over time. Based on my new service I know how effective weed control should be.
"Based on our initial meeting in which the customer complained about the previous vendor incessantly, and his unrealistic expectations, we decided it would not be a perfect fit. We reluctantly decided to forge a contractual maintenance agreement that we abruptly canceled after one service due to his unrealistic expectations and his overbearing nature. A year later he approached us and said he wanted to try again working with us. After about 10 months we decided it wasn't a good fit. We service over 120 accounts in the Richmond Area (many for over a decade) and we received as many complaint calls from him as the other customers combined. We again decided to move on."
