More work was needed than was originally quoted. Final price was over double the initial quote. Scheduling was difficult. One worker needed to have scheduled surgery during the project and that resulted in several different Cougat teams working on the project. This resulted in the project not going as smoothly as it should have and communication between the teams could have been better. They cleaned up every day very well. The finished job looks good although the top of one chimney is not the same as it was originally.

I reckon they did an okay job, but not as good as we had been led to believe. The house stinks of creosote weeks later. But the real problem with them is bait and switch tactics. They came out to do a free inspection. Upon leaving the tech said that will be 100 dollars. I told him I was told it would be no cost. He left and I called the company. Confirmed, there was not charge. They came out to do the cleaning. The same tech added 100.00 to the cost. He said, the original quote didn't include the cost of the insulation we are putting in. I was told I could pay it or they just put the old creosote soaked insulation back in. What could I do? But why was there a roll of insulation in the truck??? These guys cheat. **** them

They were great! The guys arrived ahead of schedule, described what they were going to do, and how long it would take, and went to work. They were done quickly, and showed me a photo of what had been done. I appreciated that--because of current coronavirus precautions--they were extra careful, dealing with me from a distance and saying I would be billed. All of this was much appreciated. I would definitely hire Cougots again.

Although it took a few weeks to get an appointment during this very busy time, good reliable companies are busy right now. But the wait was well worth it. Two professional technicians arrived, first checking the the fireplace and flue from inside the house. Right away I was told good news, it didn’t need a professional cleaning at this time! Then they crawled up on the roof (in 12 degree temperature) to check the brickwork and chimney. They explained that no major repairs were necessary at this time, but they did recommend some improvements that could be done at a later date. I truly appreciated their honesty. I was quoted $120 for a cleaning, and they could have very well went through the motions and cleaned it and I never would have known. Instead, they charged me $60 for an inspection, and the peace of mind I got knowing there were no major problems and I could start burning real wood, was well worth it!

The showed up promptly, and did the service efficiently. They will return to install the chimney cap once it has been obtained. Very satisfied with price and communications.

they checked my chimney in several ways and was unable to recreate the leak. They stated that it was likely just because the wind blew the rain in. They said that it did not need cleaning. It would have been easy for them to say it needed it and charge me for something it didn't need, but they were honest.

I booked them on the day after Christmas. We recently bought a new home with a wood burning fireplace and I wanted to make sure that everything was in order in the chimney as we started using it. Two guys came on site, they were professional and did a good job. The price was great. $105 for the cleaning. I recently had my chimney cap fly off during the high winds at the end of February. I called on Tuesday morning for a service call to reattach the cap. When I mentioned I was concerned about the coming rain, they worked me in same day. Very happy with this cougot's.

Service provider was honest and said my chimney didn't need a sweep so did not complete. Answered a few questions I had and inspected chimney for damage.

The team of two arrived on time and finished the job in one day. I had two separate chimneys to be repaired as well as cleaned and both were done well. Also the guys removed a very heavy fireplace insert for me that I was unable to move myself and I am very appreciative of that!

The renter said they did a good job. It cost a lot. I didn't really compare the price, but it sounded good for what they were doing.

The staff was great. We hired them for an inspection and clean on our newly purchased house. They arrived, inspected everything and cleaned it out! It was pretty clean so they adjusted our price and then said we needed a mesh wire on the cap because that is how the two dead squirrels got in. They were great and put it all on. Came in under quote and everything was great! Will totally use them again!

Team arrived on time, performed work they were contracted for, finished within a reasonable period of time, were polite and respectful of the property and services were properly estimated as to cost. I would recommend as well as use them again!

Two guys came on time to my house. They were both very friendly and helpful. They told me that my chimney did not need to be cleaned and showed me pics of what it looked like from the roof. You could still see the clay on the inside! It had barely been used! So I only had to pay $50. This is why it pays to shop around and it just makes me so mad that there are people out there trying to rip us off. I am a single mom and do not have $400 to clean my chimney. Thank you Cougat's for being honest and reliable chimney cleaners!!! I highly recommend!

Great job in scheduling, completing the job and easy payment options. Highly recommended. They came one day after I called and were quick to fix the issue. Given it was a wet day they offered to come back if anything was not done correctly.
