I cannot say enough good things about Cary St Vet, Dr. Kuhn, and the entire staff. When my Stella (yellow lab mix) was diagnosed with bladder cancer, I enrolled in their hospice program. They made house calls, called to check on Stella at least once per week, gave me emergency contact numbers and meds to make her more comfortable. When the time came, Dr. Kuhn and her Vet Tech, Shannon, came to the house (even though Dr. Kuhn was on her day off) and gave my sweet girl a quiet, respectful, and peaceful passage. They also gave me lots of hugs and sympathy. I later received a letter from Fetch a Cure stating that Cary St. had made a donation in Stella's name. As far as I'm concerned, Dr. Kuhn and her entire staff walk on water!

They have a 24 hour emergency clinic and they are right down the street where we are. The veterinarian and the staff are friendly. She is very hands on and very concerned about my dog. She comes to see and talks to you. The location is kind of hard to get in and out of. It's a very busy one way street. Their pricing is about the same as everybody else.

They treated him for his ear infection. They called me during the day to let me know what they had found. The entire staff there are wonderful, they love what they do.

They're prices are not inexpensive but they are really good. When Buddy, one of my Greyhounds died, she followed up with us to make sure we were doing OK. They were also very helpful when we changed veterinarians because of the move. Dr. Kuhn is absolutely one of the best vets I've ever had. She is great with follow up and is very empathetic.

Most of the vets and staff are very very nice, and the facility is
wonderful. Location couldn't be better for me, and when my dog was sick
it was much easier than taking him across town. When he was sick he
stayed here a lot and the vet kept me updated constantly. Then when I
had to put him down the vet stayed in the room with me and was
absolutely wonderful.
I will say that I think they overcharge.
They
want to see pets 2x a year (more than I go myself, but they are
thorough) and routine exams are more expensive than other vets I have
gone to. Last year, I was given to a new vet, and he told me my cat
needed a dental cleaning, which was true, and then he quoted me
$800-1000 plus more for any extractions. I was devastated, because I
knew I couldn't afford that. I explained to him that I couldn't afford
it, and he told me to and quot;just save upand quot;.
I ended up being able to
take my cat to Helping Hands down the street for his cleaning (they
focus on pet surgery and dental care only at affordable rates) and I
went back to my wonderful and far more affordable vet. If you have the
extra money to spend, I do like most of the vets here a lot, I just
think that you could save money elsewhere.

Imagine the stress of having to get three dogs to the vet. Well, when I arrive with my fur babies, the staff is ready to take care of their needs and I am smiling from ear to ear o get this task completed.

I have a lot of animals. He is very kind and compassionate but very good. He has been in business for a very long time. I have probably been seeing him for 30 years. I actually followed him from another location. They are great, absolutely great. They answer the phone right away, they take you in at your appointed time, and he doesn't try to gouge you and make you pay for things you don't need. They do surgery there too. He is just great. I can tell you that his price is great because I have talked to my friends who go to other vets and they say it costs them way more than it costs at my vet. I sure will continue to see him!

Based on adominal exam, the vet was convinced the dog a foreign object in his digestive track and recommended surgery after getting Xrays and completing blood work. He spent the night at the vet. Two different sets of xrays were taken (one that night and one the following morning). Neither Xray revealed a foreign object. Further, the vet stated that the dog had no more symptons of vomitting after his arrival. This would have meant that he would have gone roughly 15 hours without showing his presenting symptoms. Despite the negative Xray results and abscence of symptoms, the doctor went ahead and cut open my dog and did exploratory surgery only to find nothing in his digestive track. I would have expected that, AT A MINIMUM, the vet would have at least called to discuss the course of action with me and whether surgery was necessary when there was that much evidence that contradicted her original diagnosis. Instead, an invasive procedure (with a 10-14 day recovery period) was performed on my dog without any further consultation with me. I was left with a dog that was in unecessary pain, a $1500 bill and a vet that was completely unapologetic and even sarcastic when we questioned whether the charges were warranted. I will not even go back to these folks for the post-op staple removal. We have already found a new vet and had the records transferred. I know the location is convenient for those who live in the city but I would strongly advise you to drive a couple of extra miles and find a vet who is less expensive, more compassionate, and more actively involves you in decisions about how to best care for your pet.

The office and staff are very modern and compassionate. Their prices are a litte steep, but I trust them with my pets. The vet and attendants are very good and offer quality service. I have used them for a long time and will continue to use them in the future.

Everything has gone very well. Dr. Khun is the owner and head vet, and her staff does not turn over often at all--they are very happy, and they do a great job. Her prices are not low, but in my eyes, she makes up for that because she keeps a fund for clients with sick pets so that she can care for the animal and supplement the fees. They have been very generous with their facilities when I need them because I do rehab wild animals, and I take my own pets to them as well. They are very compassionate, and really go above and beyond in the event of the loss of an animal. Their care is truly special, and I will continue to use them.

These 4 kittens were with me for several days before they went to the vet. I monitored food and poopy very carefully so that I would have a good handle on each individual kitten. Three were 1 pound each and one was only .75 pounds when I took them to the vet. They were all eating and pooping quite nicely. Within 2 hours of the visit, all 4 had terrible diarrhea and became lethargic. The tiniest got so lethargic, so quickly, that I made coffee and held him in my arms as he died. The next day, I showed up speechless with the tiny body and all they could do was insist it wasn't the deworming medication and tell me they could only dispose of the poor kitten if I paid for a cremation. I did. I left. I won't be back.

They are friendly and know what they are doing. They send out reminder notices and call as well the day before the appointment. I feel their price is good for the services I receive.

This veterinarian is very personable. It is in an upper class part of town and they are a little pricey. When one of our cats passed away, they sent us flowers. I thought that was so very nice of them to do that.

We really like Cary Street Vet a lot. Price-wise I would say they are average but the care is exceptional. We are always treated very well. Our dog is well taken care of at this facility and we have highly recommended them to other people in our area, too.
