Cabinetry and Construction installed gas logs for my fireplace. They ran lines from the street to the fireplace. Very knowledgeable and professional. I was particularly impressed with the care his team took and strategies they used to avoid having to remove or injure shrubbery at the foundation of the house. In my experience, most contractors would have taken the easy way out, but not Rob Wright. Rob has won design awards and took the time to counsel me on how to search for just the right logs. I have contracted with Rob for additional home improvement projects as well. I could not be more pleased with his approach to working with the customer. He is a bit more expensive than some, but the quality is worth it. Once Cabinetry and Construction works for you, they do not forget you. I always have the feeling that Rob attacks rennovations out of his passion for detail and creativity. I have always been able to call Rob for advice about a home problem and have learned through experience that I can fully trust his advice and his work.

Rob and his crews do fabulous work. Rob is a talented designer and an ingenious builder; nothing in an old house intimidates him, and he seems able to deal with anything. His crews are unfailingly capable, hard-working, and very polite and courteous. They arrive on time, work unceasingly throughout the day, and clean up so thoroughly after the day that you wouldn't know they had even visited. They approach challenges with good humor and pay attention to even small details. Rob does a good deal of the work himself, and holds very high standards for the work of his subcontractors and crew (and seems to pick the best in the area to be associated with him and his work).
Rob and his crew are the best in the business around here if you're looking to upgrade an older home. They are NOT the least expensive, so dot expect a low price. But they deliver fantastic value for the dollar. You truly get what you pay for, and with Rob and his company, you get a great deal.
I cannot recommend Cabinetry and Construction, and Rob, more highly to anyone. Anyone contracting with Rob will be absolutely delighted with the results and with the process.

I purchased a home that was built in the 70's. I could see the potential in the house, but was a little nervous about it b/c it would need some work. My realtor introduced me to Rob, and I'm so happy that he did! Rob is like the and quot;Holmes on Homesand quot; of Richmond! Not only did he complete all of the issues on the home inspection list from the purchase of the home (which was quite daunting), but he worked with me to give me all of the renovations, large and small that I wanted. With all of the work, he made sure he stayed consistent with the rustic style of the home, and that was very important to me.
He has fantastic design ideas. I would tell him about something that I wanted and he'd work with me to get the best design and function possible to accomplish the project within my budget. Some, but not all of the projects completed included: adding a laundry room and turning the old laundry closet into a much-needed storage closet, installing brick tile flooring in the kitchen and dining room areas, new ceramic tile flooring and a new shower in the downstairs bath, reinforcing an old deck that was not up to code and installing a new staircase, installing a new sliding barn door at the entrance to the master suite (this was his idea-I told him I needed some privacy for my bathroom/bedroom area but a traditional door wasn't going to work--I LOVE my new barn door!), creating a new gas fireplace in the dining room and converting the wood burning fireplace in the living room to gas, installing a tankless water heater, creating a dry stacked stone border around the foundation planting area, new stair rails and newel post, installing many light fixtures, and much more! He is a wealth of knowledge--he helped me with all of the home's systems such as the HVAC, security system, plumbing, electrical, and so forth.

Rob was truly hands-on. He led all of the projects himself, and you can tell he's a perfectionist! He and his team were consummate professionals. They were always punctual, they worked clean, and never, ever left a mess behind. They were very friendly and easy to have in my home. It was nice to be able to relax and know that I could leave while they were working and trust that all was okay.
I would not hesitate to recommend Cabinetry and Construction to anyone! I plan to keep him as my go-to contractor for everything from mechanical to structural to carpentry.

The project went very well. Rob and his crew are wonderful to work with. Rob presented us with some excellent cost effective alternatives for accomplishing the renovation. The bathroom was a very tight space but is much more useable now. Project was completed quickly and they were very good at cleaning up after themselves. This was a small project which we viewed as a pilot project for a major renovation currently underway. We liked the work enough to award the other contract to Cabinetry and Construction.
