The kitchen floor was laid incorrectly, when I complained he through a temper tantrum and finished the job with less than satisfactory results. About a year later I had a severe water leak in my roof, I had no one else to call and he came out immediately to remedy the situation. I thought he had changed and asked him to repair the damage done from the water leak which included having to refinish the basement and replace the second floor carpeting. He started the basement refinishing on time but took longer than he had estimated. I was thrilled with the work on the basement. As far as the second floor replacement of the carpet, I asked if he could put in hardwood and he stated yes. I gave him a check for the supplies he told me he would begin the work in two weeks. Over two months later he began to lay the hardwood. It appeared to be again a wonderful job until after completion things began to go wrong. I could not put the HVAC floor registers in because the hardwood was not cut properly. A strip of molding was cut badly and was hidden by a chair. His crew broke the recliner upon moving. A box cutter grove was found in my coffee table. When I told him there were problems he did not seem phased. He did not offer to make fixes or pay for a new recliner. When the original leak was found I had to replace my gutter system and was told by Mr. Donegan not to put gutter guards on--that he would take care of this upon finishing the installation of the hardwood, because then he could inspect the new gutter system, inspect my sky light, roof, etc. Well when this time came he did not live up to his promise. He never came out and upon calling and calling him over a months period he just became irate and eventually told me to go elsewhere for my work.
