Main complaint - this company has called so many times (under different names and third party serveys) that it's to the point of harrassment.They wanted to know how the service went and what other serives they could get us to by. I think I finally convinced them to stop calling us after answering their questions 10 times and getting very frustrated by the end of it. It was unreal.
We will not be using this company again.

When I did my taxes, I noted that I could deduct the cost of materials for this job. I contacted the company via the representative I met with when doing the original estimate. He said to send him an e-mail about the matter and he would get the cost of materials for me. I sent the e-mail, but never heard back - it's been over two weeks now.
Finally, another representative appeared at my door in late March to do a follow-up survey and inspection. He checked in the attic about the hotspot, but could see nothing that might be the cause. I told him about the tax deduction of materials and he said he would check and try to get the information sent to me. However, if I didn't receive anything by the time I had to file, to simply assume that 1/2 of the cost was for materials. To date, I have not heard back from HCR.
I would recommend the company to provide attic insulation, but find it difficult to give them a high rating given their inability to provide the information I need to file my taxes.
I was told that the insulation would lower my heating and cooling bills and improve the temperature in the upper floor of our townhouse. We have an automatic thermostat that has been set the same for the last several years. I did a detailed analysis of our heating expenses comparing therms used per heating degree days (HDDs) for two months (January & February) of 2014 with 2015 and found that my adjusted heating expenses actually increased slightly after the insulation was installed. I understand that there are likely other factors involved that I can't adjust for, but am still surprised to find that my heating expenses actually increased. Regardless, the temperature on our upper floor is about three degrees higher now than it used to be which is a definite plus during the winter. So, I'm somewhat satisfied with my decision to have the insulation installed.
