Fusion Dental

We have been using Fusion Dental and it predecessor in Reston for over 40 years and had this work performed several times before. This time we were informed that they would not submit the Medicare form for the appliance payment and we would have to do it. They had submitted it previously but apparently had a change in policy. When we did submit it to Medicare, payment was refused since Fusion Dental no longer had a Medicare number. So far we are stuck, even though Medicare does cover these items assuming the provider has the appropriate Medicare number. Dental service was excellent as usual but financial for this service was inappropriate and we will not use them again.

I have been going to Fusion Dental for about three years and the service has always be excellent and the staff is always extremely professional.

Recently though I had a great experience and I wanted to write about it. In January of 2016 my company switched to a new dental insurance plan. In April I had service performed and the dental insurance denied the claim for flimsy reasons. The staff at Fusion, in particular Rebekah Smith went way above and beyond in trying to work with an insurance company that seemed more interested in denying a claim for a covered service then in understanding the facts around the claim. Her diligence and perseverance demonstrated the professionalism that we all hope to see when someone is taking care of us or our loved ones. It is emblematic of why I go to Fusion Dental, not only are the Dentists and Periodontists great, but the staff is excellent.  

Went to see Dr. Rusz to address a crown that came off.  He quickly put me at ease by educating me on the process/steps he would use to fix the crown.  He answered my questions with patience and care, and afterwards took the time to explain what to expect for future 
expectation setting. 
I've recommended Fusion Dental in the past, but I'm writing a 2nd review (years later) to showcase my main reason for returning to this Dental Office. (Great Service mixed with Smart Professionals = Repeat Business for this Consumer).

Things went well and all three of my little girls had their first dental visits. Since I do not have dental insurance for them, I thought the price was a bit high because I recall being quoted a lower price for the first visit for new patients.  So, I was surprised when it was a lot higher than expected.  That said, the doctor and technicians were great and did their best to help my girls feel at ease.

They provide good professional service. I would use them again.

Sometimes I take a long time to numb up but Dr. Nick was very patient and understanding.  The procedure went well and the tooth is good to go!

I was completely humiliated by staff at this location. I had leg surgery and was on crutches for months. Very challenging and eye opening experience for me. I needed to see a dentist on the upper level. There is no elevator available. The stair risers do not meet proper building code requirements. (I have on two occasions witnessed individuals stumble or trip on the stairs) Staff on lower level INSISTED that they take me in a wheel chair. Two petite women proceeded to push me in a wheelchair outside to side of building, and push me up a rather steep grade in the rear of the building to another door that gains access to the upper level. These two women proceed to joke about and quot;what a great workoutand quot; and laughing pushing an overweight woman in a cast....I was mortified by my situation and very concerned for my safety. They were struggling to push me up the grade with the wheelchair almost falling off the edge of the asphalt path. What an ordeal to have to go through when you are already anxious about a dental visit! Every time I drive by the office on Sunset Hills, I remember how traumatized I was by this event. Unfortunately with another leg surgery around the corner for me, and still lots of dental needs, I will be seeking a competent dentist elsewhere, with an Americans with Disabilities Act compliant office space and staff who are more sensitive to needs of patients. My advice for anyone elderly, overweight, with a disability or a loved one with a disability, seek dental care elsewhere.

They have a variety of places but I use the one in Reston. They are timely and their price is good. They have good workers that do dental work as well as cleaning.

We have been going to this practice for about 10 years and they are good. Dr. Doyle bought the practice from a previous whom I liked better, he was a warmer person. She is not as warm, but she is very competent and nice. I make my appointments 6 months in advance. I am not crazy about the hygienist, but she is very good.

The dentist, hygienist, and all assistants were wonderful, taking care of my daughter's phobia by being gentle yet honest and straightforward. Good sense of humor, too. Highly recommend!

Everyone is nice and they are very efficient about calling to remind you of appointments or getting you in for a different appointment. They are great about rescheduling if necessary.

There wasn't anything that stuck out to me as extraordinarily good or bad as this is such a routine thing but it was smoothly, as a routine should!

The parking is not very good, however.

I have been using them for 5 years. It is easy to get an appointment. They know who I am they take the time unlike a lot of dentist I have been to.

Then entire office is very efficient, friendly and helpful. The dentist is quick and painless. I am very satisfied with the dentist and the practice.
