That was great but they came back and looked at the heating system last fall. They were excellent.

They installed the equipment in our house when built it and it's worked well ever since. I would give them an A for installation and for all the maintenance over the years. The price seems fair.

The technician was punctual and seemed knowledgeable. He quickly refilled and tested the system to ensure it was functioning properly. He made sure to show me the precise amounts of coolant used to verify charges and logged everything in his work log to track coolant use due to EPA regulations. Very professional, prompt, and courteous. The van he used was a bit dated and beat up, but I judged his work based on what he actually did, not the appearance of his assigned vehicle.
I marked price a 'B', which maybe isn't totally fair. The coolant is expensive regardless of contractor due to environmental regulations and age of my current unit. Regardless, it was pretty expensive for such a simple job.

Mike at Temp-A-Tron is great at diagnostics.  He went the extra mile to locate a hard to find part, saved us replacing our furnace.

I had been very happy with it until it started getting very cold. The technician determined that there was a wiring issue at the time it was manufactured. He corrected it and I have been warm throughout this bitter weather. I would highly recommend geothermal and Temp-A-Tron!

Poor Communication: The delivery of the unit was delayed 30+ days after the the dated originally quoted.  The company didn't contact me nor return my phone calls in a timely manner. When I wanted to find out the status of anything project related I was forced to drive to the contractor's location and speak to them in person.
Poor Workmanship: 1) A baffle connecting the unit to the ductwork was installed backwards, prohibiting airflow to the home's second floor.  The contractor never checked this once installation was complete.  The error was pointed out to the onsite technician who acknowledged - but never corrected the mistake.  2) Our county performed (and approved) a pressure test on the geo loops prior to permitting unit installation.  Less than a year later I find out one loop is loosing pressure.  The only explanation is a leak in the equipment (poorly) installed by this contractor.  We are having another contractor fix this issue.
TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE Customer Service: One year after completing the project and cashing all checks with lighning speed - there's been no follow-up from the company.  The contractor never offered a service plan and has never follow up.  Now that's a great business model.

They are very responsive. Their people are professional, pleasant and clean. They are knowledgeable. The only issue I had with them is that they could not fix everything that I asked them to come and fix. It’s either I was descriptive enough when I called them up or the message didn’t get all the way through. They fixed the thing I had in the attic but there was another thing on my furnace that I want them to take a look at. There were 3 things and they fixed 2 out of 3 but they didn’t have the parts for the 3rd. Now, I have to call them back and take another day off and have them fix it which is kind of a drag.

The technician arrived on time, within the 2-hour window the dispatcher provided the day before.  After questioning me on my observations of the A/C's performance he quickly went to the most likely source of the problem--the compressor.  He immediately validated that the capacitor associated with the compressor had failed.  He replaced with it with a new one and had the A/C running normally within 15 minutes after arriving.  During the repair he showed me how to quickly tell that a capacitor failed.  I have always used Temp-A-Tron and will continue to do so.

Approximately 31 May 2013, the repairman checked the heat pump and added 3 plus lbs of freon for $360.00.  The system worked less than 12 hours during the hottest part of summer. I was finally able to reschedule and he returned a week later and repaired the leak and added another 9 pounds of freon (said he charged for only 6 lbs) This bill was for $460.00. Unit works fine now.

There was a problem with my dryer; loads (even small ones) were taking anywhere from 2-4 hours to dry. When the first representative came out for an estimate, he discovered that the connection between the dryer and the wall was originally installed with flexible hose. The dryer got moved, and compressed the hose, essentially shutting off the vent to the outside. They installed a hard connection (elbow), and also created some extensions for the dryer legs to raise it up higher than the overflow pipe on the washer (which was totally unexpected, and much appreciated).
They also installed a programmable thermostat for my furnace and air conditioning. There was nothing wrong with the thermostat I had, it was just old, and I'm hoping that I can save some money with this one.  They took the time to thoroughly explain how the thermostat worked, and made sure that I understood everything about it.

Our boiler was not working and hadn't been all season.  We had some cold spells in late October and early November, and were keeping warm with a small electric heater.  In mid-October, we called the contractor associated with our propane service and during the second service call (for the first, they'd sent the wrong technician for our type of system), the technicians estimated fixing the boiler for $550 to $1500, depending on what they found, and charged me $138 for the visit.  They also suggested that the boiler might not be fixable, was not worth fixing due to its age (13 years), and that I should consider a new boiler.  Their estimate for a new boiler was almost $15,000.  While the technicians were very nice, I felt pressured, and knew we could not afford a new boiler.
I found Temp-a-Tron on Angie's List and called for a second estimate.  The technician determined the problem was a faulty pressure switch and the unit probably required a cleaning to remove stink bugs.  This diagnosis was backed up by a neighbor who used to be in the business.  Temp-a-Tron ordered the part and installed it as soon as it arrived (the part took two weeks to arrived from the manufacturer but that was not the fault of Temp-a-Tron).  The technician pointed out where there were no problems with clogs so he would not do unnecessary work and trouble-shot for over an hour to get the boiler up and running again.  The company did not charge for the first visit and the price of the fix was $68 for the part and $125 for labor, which they did not bill me for until we determined the boiler was working properly and consistently.  Thanks to Angie's List, I saved more than $14,000 and found a reliable repair service that I will call again in the future.

I have 2 heat pumps. The one for upstairs was not working and the one for downstairs was cooling but not as well as expected. I did have to wait several days as I called the day after the unbearable hot Memorial Day weekend. They apologized and said they could not get to me until the next Monday. The technician came and assessed the situation. He added 2 lbs. of freon to the downstairs unit which solved that problem. He told me the unit for upstairs needed a new fan motor for the unit outside and it would need to be ordered. He told me to turn the upstairs fan to "on" instead of auto and that help to cool the upstairs until the part came in. I received a call on Tuesday or Wednesday saying that the estimated arrival time of the part was Friday and she wanted to go ahead and schedule me for Friday afternoon. I told her I probably would not be home but had been told that if I left the unit on, the motor could be replaced and checked and I could be billed. That was impressive! To my surprise I saw the Temp-A-Tron truck pull in my driveway about 9:30 AM. The part had arrived earlier than anticipated and he was there to install it. There was a slight problem that the fan blade was rusted and could not be removed but I was told that he could go get one and come right back to finish the job. Before noon everything was fixed - just in time for the hotter, humid weather predicted for this weekend. Both technicians were professional and very pleasant!

We called Temp-A-Tron after another company tried to tell us that our 6 year old furnace was about to crack and break and that we needed a $4,000.00 heatpump  (that they would install of course). We wanted a second opinion so we called Temp A tron . The technician came on time and within the 30 minutes he had the unit taken apart, and throughly looked at. He even instructed my husband on what to do in certain situations that might arise with our unit if it ever does go on the blink. He then told us he didnt see any problems, the unit was functioning at full capacity and doing well. (After all it is only a 6 year old unit!). Anyway......we are very pleased with the results and that this technician didn't try to sell us anything or scare us into thinking we would be without heat one cold night in the near future! Excellent service and professional all the way!

My ancient A/C unit quit early this year and I got 3 estimates from local companies on having it replaced with a heat pump. Temp A Tron came in at half what the other 2 had quoted. I went with them and it went very well. The crew of two arrived on time and finished the job in less than a day. They were both professional and courteous, and cleaned up the area they were working in when done.

I though they were wonderful and prompt. They call ahead of time to tell you they are coming. They have good availability. You call them and they may either come the same day or the next day. I really like them. I would definitely use them again and would definitely recommend them to others.
