They were great!! They worked quickly and were clean cut and polite. Before they arrived, we had a pipe burst, so they had to work around the men that were there to fix that, but they were professional and took it all in stride. I couldn't be happier with my experience with this company, especially when they worked me into their schedule on the only day I could do it!

To be clear, Angie's List Sales People are terrible and this review is not written because I found this firm on AL. This review is being posted because Pack Rat performed exceptional service on an informal in-town move for my family. Over the course of 3 days, the crew moved us as we were selling our house and renting a new home in Leesburg. The guys did a top notch job not only moving and protecting our stuff, they also helped with miscellaneous packing as needed. The guys really made the process a breeze. Highly recommended.

I missed an email confirming the appointment and called the morning of the appointment to make sure they were still coming.  They had not finalized the schedule (my error) but they were able to fit me in that morning!.  Customer service was great, very professional and friendly.

I spoke to the owner and received a professional conversation.  He explained exactly what the service would and would not do as well as the rates.  The movers arrived a little early and moved items requested efficiently without any damage to the house.  They were friendly.  However, when the truck was loaded, I was told that it was a 3/4 load.  I went out to look at the truck, and it was 3/4 but not condensed for hauling.  I mentioned that I thought that the load was only half.  I was told that the weight of the TV (it was a heavy tv) and the couch would equate more at the dump.  The rate is not supposed to be based on weight.  As the driver began to condense for transport, it was obvious the truck was only half full.  I still had to pay for a 3/4 truck load.  The rate was fair, but I disagree with the employee's assessment of the amount actually hauled.

I am updating this review after being pleasantly surprised by a handwritten note from the owner.  The note was a heartfelt successful attempt to correct the situation.  The owner included a check to cover the overage and a reasonable explanation.  It is obvious the owner has a great deal of respect for his customers and is going to go the extra mile to ensure their satisfaction.  I also reconsidered my position and will use Pack Rat Hauling again.  It is obvious the owner is striving to maintain a positive attitude and successful business and I appreciate his response.

It went well. The vendor was polite and worked with us when he found out that we had the construction debris which is disposed of by weight at the local dump. The ad for a deal should have specified that weight was also a factor in the cost of the service. We've used Pak Rat Hauling two previous times and will use them again.

Our entire experience with Pack Rat Hauling has been an unequivocally positive one. Scheduling was a breeze, and very responsive to our needs for a multiple item removal effort. On appointment day the crew called when they were 20 minutes away, providing us ample time to round up and secure our large dogs. The crew arrived well within the scheduled time span and went right to work. They were friendly, thoroughly professional, very careful in and around the house, quite fast, hard-working and competent. They quickly removed and loaded everything we had itemized, plus a couple of additional awkward and heavy objects that we threw in at the last minute. The entire job was completed in less than an hour and, as an added bonus, the total charge was less than the initial estimate. We couldn't have asked for a better, more thorough and more reasonably priced service experience. We certainly intend to use them for our next round(s) of hauling needs. Without reservation, we recommend Pack Rat Hauling to anyone in need of their service.

This company was great. I called today (Saturday) see how much it would cost and how long before they would be able to come and haul away an enormous sectional sofa (very old and beat up), an old entertainment center, a bookcase and 2 ottomans. I was hoping to be able to have this stuff removed sometime within a week. The gentleman who answered my call explained how the pricing works and asked me if this afternoon would be ok. A very pleasant surprise. They showed up an hour later, they were professional and very nice, and my stuff was out of there in moments, with no damage to walls or doorways. Thanks guys!

The guys that came were really nice and professional and did the whole job in about half a hour!  Amazing!  I will definitely have them next time I need a big job done! I think this might be the first time I used Angie's list so I forgot that I already paid them and wrote a check.  The very same day the manager wrote me to let me know that I had already paid and that he was sending my check back to me.  So great and honest too!!!!  Awesome.

We have used Pack Rat Hauling for two years now.  I can't say enough about the outstanding service they have provided over the years.  My calls are always returned right away - even one time when the owner was on vacation.  I have called and often gotten same day service.  The crews are very professional and always prompt.  The area where they remove the material is always cleaner than before I put everything out.  I have used other junk removal services in the past, but have never gotten the level of outstanding service provided by Pack Rat.  I highly recommend them.

Michael Scott returned my phone call promptly- on a Sunday- and scheduled the pick-up for first thing Monday morning. He and his worker showed up on-time and were friendly, courteous, and professional. They quickly loaded all the junk on the truck and left no debris behind. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them for anyone needing to get rid of some clutter/trash/junk.

They came when they said they would, but their pricing was questionable. They had some coupons, which laid out pricing for you, but the contractor that signed me up with them said they did not have a coupon, and charged me full price, even though I had printed one off of their website. It was a bit confusing. I would proceed with a little more caution before hiring them again.

We had a last minute request as our original plan to move the furniture fell through a couple of days before the new furniture was supposed to arrive.  They managed to fit us in within the 2 days that we needed.  They arrived timely and got everything out on the truck very quickly.  They were mindful of the surroundings and were careful not to disturb anything.  No complaints.
