Jared came out and gave me what I thought was an slightly above average estimate for the amount of work done. After we scheduled a date the crew came and finished ahead of schedule. My major gripe with this company is after they took my payment I did not hear from them again. There were areas I thought were missed from the original job, but they were slow to respond and never gave me a clear answer. So I will not be able to recommend them, which is a shame because they did a relatively good job.

Jared McDonald salesman for the company promised that the insulation would be to code, it was sprayed too thin. When confronted about it he was aggressive and rude and proceeded with personal attacks. They said they will remove old insulation, most of it was left. They damaged wires and recessed lights and ac ducting. They left over spray all over the place, they left a mess in the hallways, they scuffed the hardwood floor and walls. They used open cell foam which should have been closed cell foam. Stay away from this con artist and this horrible company
Response from NOVA SPRAY FOAM INSULATION LLC
"This customer is not one to be trusted to give an opinion as to our craftsmanship. There was no damages to his property, the project was completed to code and with the proper materials. After 3 months of trying to collect on a job completed correctly and signed off on by this customer he has now gone to the extreme of bad reviews after we have commenced legal action to collect for our services. We stand by our services and actions."

We did work with Nova Spray Foam because it sounded like they could get the work done in a timely fashion. We paid a premium for them (when compared to the price quoted from another company) for this accelerated schedule. In the end, we did not get that accelerated schedule because Nova Spray Foam missed multiple appointments. The work they did was pretty good, and we are satisfied with the results (there was a slight overpromise regarding the improvement we would achieve, but we did see a nice improvement). That said, the difficulty we had getting in touch with the company in order to schedule and perform the agreed-upon work was very disappointing.

Own a very old farm house.  Almost impossible to heat.  I live in a different State so everything was done via email.  I rent the home out to someone and this is what they emailed me about this company..

The entire foundation is now completely sealed. They also cleaned out the miscellaneous junk that was laying in the dirt, like old bottles and cans, insulation, etc. They took out about 6 large contractor bags of stuff. Mostly old nasty insulation but I thought this was nice because it was unexpected. You can recommend these people to your friends. There were two guys, they arrived a little early and were completely professional. They put booties on their shoes when entering the house, covered everything not to be insulated with plastic and kept me informed about the process.

I was also sent pictures.... looks awesome..... I think it will do the job.  We had entire crawlspace and basement done.  Expensive but had to be done....will pay off in long run.

I bought this house in Feb and am using this room as a kennel room for my 3 dogs.  It was quite hot in there with the old insulation. The room gets the afternoon sun until dark exposure.   It is an AMAZING difference with the spray foam in.  I rarely use the window a/c in the evenings when I bring the dogs in, and if I do, it's just for an hour to make sure the dogs are comfy.  Before, I had to have the a/c on for at least 3 hours and it did NOT cool down the room, and the celing had ABSOLUTELY no insulation in it when they tore it out.

It was hard to get the drywall people and spray foam company to work in tandem.  Something that I expected to take one week to complete ended up taking 3 weeks, because the subs that did the drywall did not come back and finish the job right away completely.  In the future, I will not pay in full until all work is complete, my bad. Or I will hire my own drywall workers.

Jared and his team diid an amazing job and would hire them back for future work, which I will probably need in the future to sound proof part of my basement.  Also, I was not there initially when they started the work, and they went ahead and cleared the room, took down the blinds, etc, which is not something they usually do.  They were running ahead of schedule time-wise, so they came early and decided to start.

Randy came out to take a look at the job, he answered my list of questions and concerns I had and within a day or two had an estimate back to us.
We signed the contract and the work was completed promptly.  The crew did an awesome job!  Being able to raise the stoop back to its original location instead of replacing it not only saved us hundreds of dollars, but it looks better because we don't have brand new concrete next to old concrete.  If you have a sidewalk that is tilting or concrete steeps that have settled call NOVA foam before thinking about replacement.

Work was completed on time and exactly as requested. The driveway is now level and we can smoothly drive into our garage. In addition the crew was very careful to drill between bricks as they raised our front stoop which saved us from having to replace any bricks. Excellent job!

NOVA Spray Foam provided a very detailed estimate.  They sprayed  under our house in the crawl space. They were prompt and courteous and did a great clean up job.

First step for us required removal of old fiberglass, which is very messy. Contractor covered and protected the space fairly well.
The actual spray foam process went very smoothly. They provided fans that ran all night, but be prepared for some fumes that will last a couple of days, even with thorough venting. It is just part of the deal with foam.
The spray foam insulation is far superior to fiberglass and solved some trouble spots we had that needed much better sealing.
The contractor was very flexible in accommodating what we were trying to accomplish.
Recommendations:
Remove stuff from the attic. Some foam pieces will fly around.
Provide the contractor with a clear path into and out of spaces, especially your attic. Be prepared for fiberglass dust.
Cover anything near the path fiberglass will be carried out near. Cover and seal as much as you can.
Be prepared to clean fiberglass dust up after.

I  met Kenneth Thacker at a Home Show.  I called him up and he came out quickly to give me an estimate for my new construction.  I had already gotten 2 other estimates and NOVA Insulation was the best value.  Kenny educated me on the benefits of foaming and explained everything that would happen step by step.  I moved in my new home recently, and am very happy with how "tight" the house is.  The house is very cool, even with the recent heat wave.  I had to go up in the attic and was surprised how cool it was up there, too.  Nova insulation did an outstanding job from start to finish.  I have not regretted my decision to spend a little more for spray foaming over the conventional fiberglass insulation.  I'm glad I picked the right company.

I first had mold remediation and pest control done (by another contractor) to make sure the foam won't cover up something that will fester. My issue was slight mold due to improper grading and bad gutters (also fixed by someone else). The insulation was terribly deteriorated fiberglass and I figured replacing it with more fiberglass would eventually yield the same in this humid climate. I had seen the spray foam in home improvement shows so that seemed like the way to go.
NOVA spray foam was able to do this within a week of me contacting them. They were always responsive to all my questions. They began the process around 8 or 9 in the morning and were finished before noon. They told me to go to the second floor and keep the windows closed. There is minimal off-gassing and it dissipates quickly, but it adds up depending on the square footage. They used a ventilation exhaust system to make sure the crawlspace air was circulated. After they left I opened the windows and did not smell anything.
As a result - and this is subjective - I feel that the humidity level in the house is much lower since there is nothing coming up from the crawl space anymore. The very slight moldy odor I sometimes smelled downstairs is also completely gone. I have a wooden floor and it feels a bit more solid and quieter.
All in all I feel that the cost was worth it and I have peace of mind that I will have no more crawl space issues. The application took care of the moisture barrier, too, since they covered the vents.
As an allergy sufferer I don't trust fiberglass and if I have to deal with insulation again in any part of the house I will choose this every time. NOVA has been great and they absolutely know what they are doing. I would use them again any time.

They've apologized profusely for missing the original appointment, and have been pleasant to work with.

We hired NOVA Insulation to help insulate the crawl space between the ground and floor of our first floor row house (i.e. we don?t have a basement).  Understandably, due to an emergency, the representative had missed our initial appointment ? but
contacted us later to reschedule and aplogized profusely.  From that point on, they were eager to help us address the insulation problems we had, and they were pleasant to work with.  The first level, and especially the floors, prior to the service, were noticeably colder than the rest of the house. In fact, the house was not only freezing, but the heating bill was shocking.

Despite our crawl space under our house being very difficult to access, Nova insulation went above and beyond to find a solution and get access to the space.  These guys clearly have to work in difficult conditions, given that they were crawling around in very little space to complete the project.

Upon initally inspecting under the house, they noted that there was a considerable breeze from the back to the front of the house ? and much of the old insulation was falling down.

Within days of the initial inspection, they set up an appointment to come out to do the work, which included removing the old insulation and spraying 4 inches of foam onto the subfloor. From what we can tell so far, it has made a difference and our house
retains heat much better ? of course the weather warmed up just as we had the work done so it is hard to say how much warmer the house is ? but we are optimistic.  The representative we worked with, Shawn, was very professional, prompt, and clearly knowledgeable and experienced with regards to their work and the process.  It was obvious that the company endeavors to
maintain a positive and professional reputation, and that they value that reputation, which we respect.

Discovered this company at a recent Home Show at the Dulles Expo Center.  We were looking for a company to install insullation and after talking to the rep (Alisa) we were very interested.   Made an appointment with Ken and he didn't show or call.  Made a second appointment with Ken and again he did not show or call.  I called Ken after both missed appointments.  Both times he said he was sorry but was verybusy.  After the second missed appointment Ken asked me to call Alisa and work with her.  I am standing by for a call back. Although the product sounds great and am still interested, I wonder if the front end customer service reflects the business as a whole.

UPDATE:  Ken called, stopped by and will provide a proposal in a day or two.

Update 2:  October 25, 2012:  Decided to go with this company even though we had a rocky start.  Guys are here removing old insulation.  All are polite, professional and working hard.  Ken stopped by to check on the progress.  Plan is to do the spray in tomorrow.  Originally gave an "F" for punctuality but upgraded to "C". Guys showed up today on time and ready to work.

Update 3:  October 26 2012:  Guys again showed up on time and ready to work.  Finished and cleaned up.  Happy with the work they did.  They do leave an exhaust fan in the attic to remove any fumes from the foam as it is being sprayed in.  They will pick up the fan early next week.  Kept punctuality a "C" because I can't get past two missed appointments and no call.  However, overall an "A".

I called for the estimate and they came out a few days later. They did a great job explaining the steps and the costs associated with each step. The following week they came and applied about 5 in of spray foam to the deck of the roof. I had the (cheaper) option of spraying the top of the drywall ceiling but opted against it because if I ever wanted any electrical work done (lighting, venting etc.) they would have to cut through the spay foam to complete the electrical work and re-spray the cut areas.I have a small house but the attic is very low so the job took the better part of the day to complete. They lay tarp in the areas of the house there was foot traffic on their part and taped up the walls throughout. They cleaned up everything afterwards. The most important part however is what happened to our house with this insulation. Before the treatment we used to feel the extremes in temperature in both summer and winter. Now half way through the summer I definitely feel the difference. The house is cooler and the AC is working far less to keep us comfortable. The attic is a steady 60-70 degrees where as in years prior it shot up past 100.I cannot say enough about the effectiveness of this type of insulation. I used to have fiberglass mats which were worthless for shileding attic spaces. Now I can go through the house without feeing I am in a sauna. I used to have the thermostat set to around and sometimes lower to stay cool. I now have it set at 77 and my wife sometimes complains it is too cold! I am loving it.
Superb work,
Thank you.
