Dominion Water

Poor customer service.

We paid for them to come out, they said they fixed the softener.  They left, then we found the system worked only until the next water filtration cycle occurred within 24 hours.  We called them back to have them actually fix what we had already paid for.  They say it would be a month and half before they can come back out, and we?d need to pay an additional service call fee the next time they come out.  They put us on a cancel list to try and get an earlier appointment but only gave a 10 minute arrival time notice on a random day, which didn't fit our time frame since no one was at our house.  A month and half came and Dominion called to confirm the service date, but actually called to book me another month and a half out.  Apparently they are in such demand that they have such poor customer service. They do not offer any over the phone consultation to explain what the error code on our water system means, which I found out isn't true.  Instead they just want charge to have a technician come out.

Dominion water installed our well in 1973. Replaced the pump and pressure tank in 1997. Checks our water quality every few years, most recently October 2013 (always at no charge). Forty years of great reliable service.

We were extremely pleased with all aspects of our experience with Dominion Water. Eileen Strike, the office manager and president of the company, was pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable about every detail of their business. A follow-up letter was sent to us after our initial inquiry thanking us for considering their company and after the work had been completed, making sure we knew they stood behind their product and service. Jack Strike, who installed the equipment, was competent, efficient, and very professional in explaining how the equipment worked and what we needed to know for future reference in any service that was required. Never any pressure to buy or do something we weren't sure of. Appointments were always punctual and calls returned when not available. This is a rare find in companies today. I highly recommend them and feel confident that they will meet your highest expectations.

I would recommend them, we have been using them for 16 years. They always do a good job and we use them routinely. They always put the little socks over their shoes to make sure they do not get anything on the floor. The employees introduce themselves and show their ID's. They also give you a time window but call you about ten minutes before they show up.

Sean also did the install. Again he showed up promptly and worked very hard to get the job done. He had to haul the new system around the back of my house and into my basement and then haul the old system out. He never complained just continued to work. Sean worked most of the afternoon and had to run the drain system all the way across my basement and link it into my drain system. He did a great job that was very neat and well done. When he was finished he took me down stairs and walked me through the entire system explaining the details of how everything worked and even traced the entire water flow into and around my house. He explained the entire set up and told me what the maintenance intervals were for each unit. He also explained each of the valves in my water lines and told me what they did. I had one valve that was defective and he replaced it without my asking him to do it. He also cleaned up after himself so that by the time I went down to look at the system there was nothing but a cleanly install system. I strongly recommend Dominion Water and Sean in particular, he did an exceptional job and was very pleasant to have around. My water problems seem to have been resolved. When I get ready to replace my water softener Dominion Water will be first and only call. You can bet that I will ask for Sean!
