Dan installed some custom cabinets, downdraft ventilator, and new cooktop for my new island. He has lots of experience and does outstanding work. He has much more depth in capability than my job required.
He showed up on time, unpacked and inspected the cabinets and showed me where their defects were (nothing is perfect). He gave me a good independent assessment of the cabinet workmanship and I do believe he would have suggested I send parts back if they were too misaligned.
I helped him throughout the install. He made very good progress, offered alternatives, and asked for my decision/preferences every step of the way.
He apologized that he could not get the alignment better than 1/32and quot; at one point - the cabinet wood was warped and he couldn't fix it. I can't see the difference and more importantly, my wife thinks the cabinets are flawless. I think alignments everywhere else are better than 1/64and quot;.
The install took a few days and he is very affordable. He requests pay by the hour, not the job. That was fine with me since I wanted some options that would take more time and if I was paying by the job, that would not have been possible.
Two months later I asked him to install a wall oven in some old cabinets. He modified the cabinets and installed the oven perfectly.
He delivers outstanding results, is great to work with, and I highly recommend him.

After having worked with a number of contractors whose skill and/or communications were not up to par, it's been a relief to have found Dan to help with the total remodeling of our house. Dan is highly skilled, meticulous, punctual and reliable. He works hard and we would trust him with anything. On top of that, he's a very pleasant person to have around. After working with him over the past six months, I've been reluctant to write a review for fear that he'll get too busy to give us as much of his time as we'd like. We plan on calling on Dan for help with many more projects this year.

Dan was very responsive and flexible. He gave me a quote back in December along with some ideas as to how to complete the project. He was very busy around the holidays and was upfront that he wouldn't be able to complete the project until after the first of the year. He followed up at that time and gave me a date that was available. He showed up that day on time and completed the project.

Dan was a referral from a friend who had a high-end complete kitchen remodel. He is an expert specializing in carpentry, cabinets, and remodeling. My kitchen cabinets were 20 years old with soffits on top and looked very tired and worn. I wanted the soffits removed and put in taller cabinets with crown mouldings on top, but there was a stove vent pipe left over in the soffits and a bathroom drain pipe protruding from the wall that was hidden by the soffits. Dan assured me they were no obstacles. He removed the soffits, removed the vent pipe, sealed the exit, patched the ceiling and wall, and built a box inside the replacement cabinet to hide the protruding drain pipe. He then installed the new cabinets and reconnected all the appliances. Dan is a true professional who takes pride in his workmanship and the final result. Everything is done the right way. He built up the floor so the cabinets are once again at the right height. My walls and floor were not square so he took extra care to make sure the cabinets are installed plumb, level, and in line with each other. The doors are aligned and adjusted to show matching reveals. The knobs and handles are level with each other. The crown mouldings are joined perfectly and all the nail holes covered up. He built out the toe kicks so no unfinished hardwood floor was showing. Again, he puttied the nail holes on the floor trim mouldings. He even reset the dishwasher reveal after the counter guys pulled it out a little too much and too much of the white sides can be seen. At all times he took care to protect the hardwood floor which we were not replacing. At the end of each day all debris was removed and the kitchen was in broom clean condition. When he was done there was not one scratch on the new cabinets. I would not trust anyone else to work on my cabinets again.
