The crew from Vance did a fantastic job. Showed up on-time, got right to work, and applied 1" of closed cell foam to all the walls and ceiling of my barn workshop. These guys are fast and really know their stuff! Great attention to detail, and made sure they hit every crevice to seal the building in preparation for converting it to a conditioned office space. Price was also very competitive. I'll definitely be contacting them again when it's time to redo my crawlspace on the main house.

We got 3 quotes for insulating the attic. The salesman from Vance was patient, thorough and gave us a couple of options. He was knowledgeable and you could tell he likes the company. We chose Vance not only for their pricing, but also because we liked their salesman. He wasn't too pushy or trying to sell us more than we needed (which one of the other companies really overshot). My husband and I both work in the construction world so we know a thing or two about what we wanted and needed. The installation team showed up on time, were not intrusive and were very nice. It's been a few weeks now and you can definitely tell the difference in our house.

Awesome! The gentleman who came out to give me an estimate was very nice and respectful. Very easy going and explained things well. The men who care were nice and polite as well. They did an excellent job. I love the attic stair cover- it has really helped my AC keep up with the higher temps outside. I have since had some other work done on my house and they had to go into the attic and they were very complementary of the work done. Also has my pest control people give compliments on the work done on crawl space as well. I would definitely recommend this company to everyone.

Super! Jeff Vance arrived as scheduled went under my crawl space, worked out an estimate, which was reasonable, and I hired him. He called a few days later to set up a time. The installers arrived as scheduled and went right to work. A few hours later they were finished. They even took pictures for me using my cell phone before and after so I could apply for a rebate from the gas Co. The installers were very professional, helpful with information and the pictures. Our floor is not as cold as before. I would definitely hire them again.

We have a finished loft with an attic area on each side. About 1/5 of our attic had no insulation at all, and the rest was not up to grade. The walls that created the loft had fiberglass insulation on the attic side but no back walls to finish them off; and some framing with narrow openings made it very difficult to access one area of the attic. An outside wall had left-over insulation stuffed randomly over it, some of it just hanging half up/half down. The crawl space had insulation that was in good shape, but the floor liner was thin and gaping. I was concerned about possible mold and had learned a little about liners that go up the sides of the crawl space. Other contractors had given me estimates and explained what they thought needed to be done, although each one was different. Some felt there was some mold in the crawl space and that the insulation would have to be removed, the beams sprayed and insulation replaced. They also recommended I get the liners that went up the sides and said I would possibly need a dehumidifier in the crawl space. Robbie Vance made the most sense, explaining why some things actually needed to be done and others didn't. He was very knowledgable, and seemed sincere in choosing the best options for me even if some would mean less money for him. They reworked the frame work in the attic and laid a narrow walkway to make the back of the attic more accessible (this was all at my request). They removed the insulation that was falling off the outside wall explaining that it really wasn't needed since air was coming in through the eaves and gables anyway and the goal was to insulate the living areas. He said insulating the wall was like putting on a coat and then leaving it unzipped. They used those insulation pieces to fill in some of the attic floor, gaps along the walls and to create a better support to insulation over a sky light. They installed styrofoam board to the all the walls that framed the loft area. Robbie explained that the R-value of wall insulation is contingent on there being a wall and the air pocket created within the walls and the insulation. The fact that there was insulation without a wall meant the R-value of that insulation was misrepresented. Also, wall insulation with a paper backing that's not covered is a fire hazard. Then they blew in insulation to the entire attack to upgrade everything to R-38. In the crawl space, Robbie was astonished at the suggestion someone else had made that the insulation should be removed, the beams treated and then the insulation put back in. If the theory was that there was mold, you would have to assume that there was some mold on the insulation and why would you put the damaged insulation back in. At any rate, Robbie felt there was minimal if any mold and the insulation only needed to be shored up. There was no evidence of water issues, so he felt a new, thicker liner was enough; I didn't need the system that went up the sides. He recommended I get an inexpensive humidity monitor and check the crawl space in the summer. I had noticed other air leaks in the house, including around a door and windows in the garage, where wiring entered the house into a cupboard and from the stoves air vent. The technicians looked at everything and sealed anything they were capable of. The stove vent, evidently, needs someone who works with metal to install a new flap. The technicians were very polite, worked diligently and effectively despite the terrible cold temperatures. They cleaned everything up afterward. I never thought an attic could look so good.

Robbie Vance came back, assessed the problem, and suggested installing a drain to catch any overflow rain that couldn't soak into the ground under the plastic fast enough. The drain includes a pipe that extends a good distance out from the back of the foundation. His crew did the digging and drilling neatly, redid the plastic they had to cut away, and even covered the end of the drain pipe with mesh after I asked about the possibility of rodents crawling into it. I'm very pleased with the work, and I think it may be the ultimate solution to a years-long problem I've had with water flow in the crawlspace. Robbie and his fine crew stayed on the case until the work was done right. They are now my go-to guys for any work they can do.

Pretty quick work. Vance provided a free estimate, and that estimate was exactly what was charged. two workmen used both batt insulation and blown insulation to add insulation to my attic. the process was done in just under 3 hours. They allowed me to inspect the work, and worked quickly. The house (stairs, carpet, etc) were pretty messy afterwards with the blown insulation (even though they did put down some carpeting at the entrance), so i had to sweep/clean behind them after they left.

Robbie came out and gave an estimate and explained different options I had with the eaves in my house. He gave me an estimate for the insulation for the attic to bring it up to R-38 and how much more it would be for R-49. He gave another estimate to put 1.5" TMAXX applied to slopes and 3/4" styrofoam boards applied to the knewalls. We decided to just do the attic to R-49 at this time. The gentlemen came and did the work and were very professional. I felt very comfortable asking questions and the answers I was given. They were able to schedule my job within three days of accepting the proposal. I would highly recommend them.

High quality service and professionalism.  Very responsive to all inquiries; very patient in answering numerous questions to ensure we got the product that was going to provide the sound proofing we were seeking.  All of the staff were so pleasant and a pleasure to deal with.  Installers were on time, worked diligently and cleaned up once they were done!  Highly recommend!

The work was scheduled and executed promptly. The crew was polite. My only concern was that the initial assessment said I'd need baffles for the eaves and then the crew on site didn't seem prepared for that and said they weren't necessary, so I'm not sure who was right or if there was some reason for the change.

Vance was great to work with and their crew was very professional and efficient. I would recommend their services to anyone. On top of being reasonably priced, they were honest and very respectful of my home. Our house is now better insulated and we can already feel the difference!
