Scott Newsome did a great job on our brick walkway (which was in really bad shape). We were really flexible with timing, and Scott was great with communicating to us what timing would work for him. It worked out perfectly and we are so pleased with the work - he went above and beyond. Afterwards he advised me on what I could do to extend the life of my brick and what the best products were to use on it. I would recommend him to anyone looking for masonry work around their house. He really knows what he is talking about and his price is very fair.

After having our initial conversation about what we would like for our steps, someone came over and began building them without letting anyone know they were there and then built and concreted them before ever getting any input, direction, feedback or final aproval from us! Yes they were fast- if you are more interested in speed than aesthetics.

"I'm sorry you aren't satisfied with the customer service or the value of our work. This is a surprise to me and is very unexpected. We communicated that I'd start your steps on Monday and that you wanted slate steps and it took Monday to cut the large slate for your treads that I got for you at a discount. I communicated with your Husband throughout the process on Tuesday as we installed them and he had positive feedback and thought it looked great and he approved the work and thought you'd be just as happy as he was. Later in the week we communicated that there was a typo on the check that was to your benefit and I decided not to worry about it and you left me thinking you were happy with the slate discount, the typo discount, the speed of completion, and the aesthetics, as well as us back dragging the whole driveway and parking area. I don't like leaving a customer unhappy, please call me if there's anything I can do to make you happy. (804) 350-4290"

I hired Scott and the crew to clean up a really poorly-done tuck-pointing job. Scott's company washed the mortar stains off the brickwork, ground out the old mortar (someone used tile grout!) and then tuck-pointed all the bricks back to spec. Then they went around the bottom of the house and restored the decorative trim to like-new color and smoothness. Scott is extremely courteous, timely, and does what he says he will do. I'm proud to suggest him to you and to my friends.
