Layman Irrigation & Trenching

Horrible company to deal with. They screw up and have a pattern of blaming everyone else. Unprofessional, unorganized and incompetent.

New construction home that Layman Irrigation installed main water line to home, and little over a year later the main water line busted in crawl space and flooding the home. This water emergency was the result of Layman Irrigation being either incompetent or lazy during installation process. Additionally, this company installed defective/cracked pvc pipe underground for sprinkler system that also burst, causing major flooding with outrageous water bills and landscaping damage. After bringing these issues to the owner, they continue to blame everyone else for their major mistakes. Avoid this unprofessional and inept company.

Layman was very courteous on the phone and in person, and they were easy to schedule an appointment with.  They were quite busy at the time so I had to wait a while on the appointment, but this was not an issue for me and they arrived on the scheduled day and time.
They repaired 2 sprinkler heads and got our long-dormant irrigation system reprogrammed and running again.  They made adjustments to the sprayer arcs, etc, for good coverage and gave me some general advice on how to get the most out of the system.  I plan on having them back later this year to winterize it.

We have an annual contract with them for servicing the system. If we need additional help during the summer, they come out at no charge. They only charge when they need to replace parts or add new heads and those prices are very reasonable. They always give plenty of notice for servicing because you need to be home for them to get to the sprinkler box and they arrive very close to the time they say they will be there. We have found them to be very reliable and efficient and the pricing to be very fair.

They were very responsive to my many inquiries and was prompt with their arrival on m appointment day. There was minimal damage to my yard and I appreciated the cleanliness of their work. I recommend them and will definitely use them for future needs.

Brian, the owner came and provided estimate. His office called me to schedule a time for them to come install the irrigation at my convenience and have Miss Utility mark the yard. They got it done in less than a day. Within 48 hours, the Henrico Inspector came out to inspect the installation and passed it. Quality work. The staffs are very professional. Very please with the whole process.
