Being in retail service business for more than 40 years,I have been around it all.This locally owned company was very competitive,but I know if there is an issue or concern in the future,Good people do the right thing.Anyone can install and take your money, cheaper definitely not always better,but my gut tells me I'm in good shape for the longhaul.For a lack of better words, Awesome bedside manner by owner and employees.Scott came recommend by a friend so here you go,I'm sharing my experience.Thanks Scott and crew!

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! We bought our 55 year-old house from the original owner. Central air was installed 15 years ago, done 'bare bones' and on the cheap, and the install work was sub-par. When we started having problems, someone recommended Clodfelters and they did a superb job of holding our AC unit together over 2 summers before helping us realize FINALLY that we would better served by replacing the unit. When our AC stopped working (during a week of 95 degree weather) before the new unit came in, they came out immediately and did what they could (no charge to us!) to get us through while we waited for the new unit. The new unit came in a week ahead of schedule, they arrived on install day on time, and went straight to work. Our old house presented Shawn, Davis, and Lee with multiple challenges. Because these guys are true professionals, they took their time and figured things out. They even made some upgrades with the install we did not have before. They cleaned, swept and vacuumed and left the house exactly as they found it. They were courteous and professional from the first hour to the (hot and sweaty!) last and we cannot say enough good things about Clodfelters. I asked Clodfelter's to provide a quote to replace both the downstairs and upstairs HVAC systems at my home in Salisbury. I also had two other companies do the same. The quote from Clodfelter's was several thousand dollars less than the other two companies, and I was familiar with the recommended brand (American Standard). The old systems were in need of replacement for several years, but I had been paying for temporary fixes. These fixes included having refrigerant added several times due to leaks. Both systems were out of refrigerant again, and the temperature was in the 90's for several days over a couple of weeks. In order to make our home livable while we waited for the installation date, Clodfelter's added refrigerant, at no cost, so our home would be comfortable. The installation of the new systems went very smoothly. It took one day to remove, replace, and make a couple of configuration changes. The crew was professional and polite. When they were done with the equipment, one of the crew members showed me the new systems, identified what changes had been made to improve airflow, and made sure I had copies of the documentation. As part of the quote, Clodfelter's also recommended some changes to the upstairs system to provide more airflow into a room I use as a home office. That room was hard to keep cool due to a couple of computers that are in use every day. I had been using a portable air conditioner to keep the room cool during very hot days. The changes Clodfelter's made had a huge positive difference and the room stays very comfortable. Now I can sell the portable unit, which is great because it was expensive to run. My experience with Clodfelter's was 10 out of 10. Both the installation crew and the office staff were great to work with. Clodfelter's did a great job for me, and I have no need to look for another company for any HVAC-related work.

Got a call first thing in the AM today after my quote request late yesterday evening. Same day service call made, arriving by 1pm. On time. Buddy and Russ did a great job in the sauna-like heat of the attic servicing the unit. Glued PVC trap that came loose and cleared drain line. They checked outside units and completed work around 2:15pm.

Great, we have a regular HVAC maintenance contract with them.

I had several estimates from different companies before choosing Clodfelter's. The other companies were all over the place in terms of price and what size system I was told I needed. Some just came in, asked what I had currently installed, and quoted me straight for the equivalent (this heat pump is 30 years old). Some were condescending and patronizing as if I couldn't possibly understand the complexity of HVAC and some were definitely trying to pull a fast one with slick sales talk (and outrageous prices). Clodfelters, however, was a completely different story. I felt they were the most thorough and accurate in determining our needs. They asked questions. They looked at the size of our returns and estimated the length of ductwork. They looked at our insulation. They asked how satisfied we were with our old system before it failed. If we had any concerns or things that needed addressed. Basically, they know what they're talking about. They were also upfront and honest about how realistically a new system would cool our upstairs with the way our ductwork is installed (which is not efficient), and instead of trying to sell me expensive things that probably wouldn't work or sell an oversized system, they suggested more attic insulation (which they don't do, so no financial gain for them in recommending so!). They're honest, reasonably priced, and highly professional. The day of actual installation the team arrived on time and covered areas within the house where they would be working (for the ductwork retrofit). The owner stopped by to check on progress which I really appreciated. Honestly the crew worked like a well-oiled machine, each part of the crew working on a different aspect of removal and then installation. They had the heat pump in and new ductwork done within a few hours. Kept everything clean and provided all the needed paperwork at the end. They even changed out a part on my whole house fan for free. I can't recommend Clodfelter's enough. They are definitely trustworthy, professional, and highly skilled and knowledgable. I wish I could find contractors like them for all my home improvement needs!

Most courteous and professional company we have hired. They showed up when they said they would and got right to work. They were very conscientious, covering all floors and carpet and removing pictures hanging on the wall in areas where they were going to be working. The gentlemen were polite and very professional. Mr. Clodfelter and his team were easy to work with and we would hire them again.

Wonderful. I absolutely love this company. They do amazing work! We have used multiple companies in the past for the two houses we have owned. These are the best I have been using them for years. I fully trust there recommendations and have actually had them talk me out of something I thought I needed to by. Always quick to respond and get someone out to fix my issue. They just replaced the upstairs unit for me. Explained multiple options for me never made me feel like I was asking for something stupid. Cash discount if you do not use a credit card!

The entire company went above and beyond for the entire installation process.
All were knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and excellent work ethic.
The crew kept me informed on any issues and installation progress.
This is an expensive and stressful project for any home owner, but they made it easier to handle.
I will use in the future for any issues and refer to all my friends.

I love them we call them for everything. They respond very quickly and the people that come out are wonderful, knowledgeable, and professional.

I've used Clodfelter's for well over a decade now and they have always been incredibly professional, their work outstanding and pricing  incredibly reasonable. 
They show up on time. Are extremely cautious in and around your home while performing the work, and they always take the time to ensure fully understand the work being done.

Clodfelters came out and gave us a fair price to replace my 2nd floor AC. The guys worked hard and finished in 1 day. We are very happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone.

These folks are the best, accommodating, professional yet personal, fair pricing, never in a rush but on time, even little extras like telling me I had a faucet leak under my house, they notice everything. From technicians to owners to office staff, they care and make sure the customer is satisfied.

Clodfelters was great to work with. They gave me the straight scoop on a potential leak within our system, and provided multiple options for follow-up repair to keep our system running or replace it. Great service!

Clodfelter's Heating and Air Conditioning are very good guys. I have used them for at least 5 or 6 years. They are very honest, very personable attention, and very competent. They know what the problem is and they know how to fix it. They can get the job done.

They are absolutely fabulous. He has a special place in his heart for seniors. He even has a 10% discount for seniors. While I don't recall the exact price that I paid for their services, I do remember them being extremely economical.
