Rod and his team provide excellent service.  We can count on them to cut our lawn weekly (or as needed) throughout the year.  They are also responsive and provide quality work when other landscaping needs arise.

A terrific crew of 10 came bright and early to get the job done before the next storm descended. They carefully scraped and cleared decades of debris to salvage the original brick pavers (1930's), regraded approx. 1000 sq. ft area adjacent to the house to restore positive drainage, installed state-of-the-art storm drain system. They took special care to avoid any damage to the roots of an enormous 80+year old spruce tree . The original brick patio was reset on a new bed of compacted gravel & sand. Ricardo and his team worked quickly and efficiently throughout. Many of the original brick pavers were deteriorated, but they devised a beautiful layout pattern and strategy so no additional new pavers needed to be brought in. We are absolutely thrilled with the results and would recommend this company without reservations. The quality of work and service is outstanding. Every member of the crew is top-notch!

My father has a 1930's home surrounded by 2 acres of enormous trees and mature landscaping that sustained extensive damage in a derecho storm. Our tree service removed a large section of tree, but we were left with crushed fencing that needed to be removed. English Farms had removed a collapsed chicken coop for us and we were so pleased with their work, we called on them again to help with this storm clean up and restoration/cleanup of the front garden. They removed all of the damaged fencing, did extensive weeding of a large area of long neglected garden around the foundation of the house & slopes by the driveway, trimmed & shaped shrubs, mulched, edged the planting beds & hauled off all the debris. They had the equipment needed to do the job quickly and efficiently. It is readily apparent that they care about the quality of their work. The garden area that was restored is beautiful. We look forward to contracting this company again to restore a large brick patio, deck, side and rear gardens & lawn, including installation of new specimen-size trees.

Rod Alexander (owner) of English Farms was recommended to us by our master plumber (Mike @ Mallick Plumbing) who was helping us with renovations/repairs to my father's 1930's farmhouse.  We needed to dispose of debris from plumbing renovation/repair work and Mike suggested that we take advantage of bringing a roll-off dumpster on-site  to dispose of large chicken coop/farm shed in the backyard that was demolished in a storm. Previously, we had a very difficult time finding a contractor who would take on the job because it would require heavy equipment & experienced crew to safely remove the massive tangle of downed trees, broken building, old fencing, and debris. Rod responded promptly to my phone call and came out to assess the situation. He was professional and courteous and provided a very reasonable bid that included loading, hauling, & disposal of debris from renovation work on the main house. He and his crew arrived on schedule, fully equipped with a roll off dumpster. & loader - ready to go to work. Rod took time to knock on the door to make sure we were all safely inside and didn't need to go out while equipment was in operation. They worked very quickly and efficiently - it was obvious that the crew was well trained & the coordination between the crew was extraordinary to watch. They took time to carefully smooth out all the disturbed ground so it would be ready to reseed with grass. As they were wrapping up, Rod came to get me and walk through the yard  to make sure everything was cleaned up to our satisfaction. He and his crew were such a pleasure to work with I recommended him without hesitation for other work closer to his base of operations in Virginia.
