Yorktown Hardwood Floors

These floors were in bad shape and even had a section of kitchen of flooring that had not been refinished after a remodel. This company is 30 years old and were attentive, always on time, and very professional. Sanded floors down to their original beauty, applied a natural stain and 3 coats of commercial oil-based poly. They also do custom color stains and a water-based poly product. They patched mismatched spot in the powder room, were in and out all done as planned in 5 days and cleaned up beautifully. The owner is easy to reach and happy to work with you. Kept to his word and his estimate. I highly recommend him and his crew. And he came in below the bid of his most popular competitor.

They did an excellent job. They had great customer service. I was very pleased and I would use them again.

The crew was accommodating and helpful, they were very knowledgeable, and they did a great job in all respects.

The bid was the middle of 3 received,
 $3,34.00 to install, sand, stain and finish with 3 coats of poly new floors to replace carpet (418 sq. ft. of red oak hardwood) including  shoe mold to match for $227.50.
$2744 to refinish water damaged floors  of red oak hardwood with 270 ft. shoe mold  for $472.50 .
The only price more than we were willing to pay was what would have been charged for moving the furniture out and replacing it when the job was completed ($872.00), Being too cheap to pay someone for what we could do ourselves, we wanted to save the money. The total job was $7938.
The gentlemen who performed the job were professional, spotlessly clean, intelligent and mannerly. The job was done in a timely manner and they were willing to do whatever necessary to be sure we were pleased. They custom mixed a stain that turned out beautifully. They have my highest recommendation! It's wonderful to encounter people who take such pride in their work!

They did an excellent job of putting in the flooring. All the lines are nice and straight except where the walls aren't. They cleaned up after themselves and were patient to answer all my stupid questions.

John was recommended to us by another family in the neighborhood because of how impressed with his service. He was prompt in returning phone calls and came out the same day to provide us an estimate. He shared his expertise with us but never pressured us in any way. We were trying to get the floors done before moving in to the house. John and his partner worked to get us in as soon as they could. They did an amazing job! They completed the entire project in 4 days. The painters that were working on our home as well said that John and his partner were the best team that they had ever worked on the same project with.
