An absolute disaster. He took continual advantage of us living 2 states away during the construction of our house. This "contractor" constantly arrived late, if at all. Constantly asking for advances. Constantly claimed to have completed work that was never done. Convinced me to front payments for subcontractors, then refused to pay them. Filed for bankruptcy after receiving nearly 90% of his fees. We ended up paying some $30,000 to correct his work, then another $100,000 to finish the job. He appears to be a calm, quiet guy who we later learned joked with his helpers about how he was fleecing us. Unknown to us, he allowed his contractor's license to lapse 30 days after taking on our job. Anything larger than a garage is too much for him. Never leave him unattended. During the bankruptcy hearings he produced "receipts" for draws from our construction account that showed tens of thousands of dollars in food, gas, down payment and monthly payments for a car and a vacation in Myrtle Beach instead of receipts for paying subs for work. I ended up paying twice for a geo-thermal system and even salaries for his own helper. He cut every corner possible. As examples, he provided a 3" concrete slab instead of 4", no insulation under slab as required, 8" concrete foundation walls instead of 10", under slab radiant floor system cut in several places with a concrete saw, unrepairable without tearing up the entire floor. No lintels over clearstory windows to support the roof. An absolute con man. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.

The guy let his license expire, everything he did we are having to fix and he basically walked off the job and declared bankruptcy.
