Hale's Electrical Service

Lies and attitude are the new norm? Tell you that additional parts are needed when providing additional equipment during service and then you find out parts are not required and you can’t use them and they won’t provide refund and want you to drive 30 to 40 minutes to take the item back to their business to get a refund for a part you didn’t ask for and when delivered they were told I didn’t need the part, they said the regulator manufacturer required it. Manufacturer web side was adamant that part not be used for outside use and it was also stated on the specification sheet I was handed with the regulator. After reading review Hale called to tell me they had a service truck in the area and they would pick up the vent control device. I had already mailed it to them that morning! There late offer is all I asked for up front. 9/25/2023 2 years and $600 plus Generator still not functioning properly and after updating review Hale has now refused to service my Generator! 9/26/2023 Since yesterday’s update the Mobile Link for my Generator has had the account deactivated, this was part of the original contract. Off line support is evidently off the books as well. PER GENERAC REPRESENTATIVES previous work done to include complete tear down to replace crankshaft seals was not an authorized repair and any problems accruing related to this tear down are not covered under warranty. Please note this tear down was not required as the crankshaft seals were not leaking. Leak was still present, was determined to be oil cooler lines. Service and conduct of owner and son have been blatantly not professional! 12-8-2023 Had my Generator serviced due to charger fault and new service agreement with different company and when Hale serviced my generator on 8-21-2023 they severely over tightened the spark plugs and the oil filter. Needless to say this could have done severe damage to the motor. Again was this done out of spite. I find Hale’s owner and employees to be very childish in their actions.

We had been without power for over 12 hours. Generator would not run for any length of time without shutting down. I called another local electrical contractor who was not available but he recommended that I contact Hale's Electric. Within one hour of my phone call a technician was on site. Within one hour of arriving he had diagnosed the problem, a defective voltage regulator, replaced the defect (had the part on his truck) perform a full test to make sure that the generator as well as the transfer switch operated correctly.
From the initial phone call, to the follow up call to make sure everything was okay, to receiving the invoice in the mail and making the payment online I was completely impressed with the level of service and professionalism of Hale's team.
I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have found such a wonderful company. I will Never call anyone else when I need help with our generator or any other electrical needs we have around the house.

We obtained 3 competitive quotes from dealers with good reputations from here and other resources. Hale's was very competitively priced but their extra break in service and professional pre-planning was the final decider. Mr. Hale's pledge to stand behind his products and service convinced us of his sincerity. His quote was complete with all details including photographs marked up to show the exact location of the generator, transfer switch and diagrams on how the existing breaker panel circuits would be moved around to best take advantage of the generated power. They showed up when they said they would and very professionally completed the work and cleaned up afterwards. Installing a generator requires multiple visits and each of the technicians who worked on the project were polite, professional and very concerned with leaving the work area as neat and as undisturbed as possible. We now have a system that will provide all our essential power and more. As well as most regular circuits, we can also run our well pump, heat pump and A/C, kitchen appliances and much more. The break in technician ran the unit for several hours, changed the oil, and switched our house over to the generator for a full test. With numerous appliances and lights on and the heat turned up, we only got to 75% of generator capacity. We highly recommend Hale's Electric and Generac generators.

The only reason we gave them a B on responsiveness was that his quote took about a week to get to us. Once committed though, every other visit was on time and punctual and the office staff was proactive in contacting us to let us know about their visits, gas company interaction and county inspection requests.

Since I had a terrible experience with another company, I wanted to sell my generator but he convinced me that if I put trust in him that he can fix it and it is still a good generator. He was professional, works with you with the bill, reasonable, and told me that before a storm hits he will come out and check the generator. He found things that needed to be fixed that another company missed.
