Brian Davis was terrible. He owns the company called Floor Traders in Richmond. The installation was $480. The owner is too young to be running business. He is totally unprofessional. The customer service is lousy. The first two installers that came in here were both young and they were bragging about doing a job that needed three days, in one day, which made me think if they were going to be thorough. While they were here, they were not thorough. They used glue under laminate boards in the middle of a floor, which is not supposed to be done because a laminate floor should be able to contract and expand, as they are floating floors. They were in a hurry because they knew that my job was the only job they had that day so they pushing to get out by 12.30. They didn’t finish up the job because some baseboards had to be pulled up which after I got the manager of Floor Trader into my home, said that my baseboards didn’t need to come up. The first time the Floor Traders were subcontracted to me, they were very professional, they counted the number of boxes that they brought in and how many pieces were brought in, I knew how many empty boxes went out and what was left for me. These people didn’t count boxes coming in and I had to be in a different room while my den was being done, so I would come back and check every so often. I came upon a couple of conversations, which led me to them being in a hurried manner. Their manager had to come back to inspect the floor for me. I told him about them taking the boxes out of the house and that I didn’t know how many empty boxes went out, if there was any flooring left over. However, I will use Floor Trader again but I will use a different sub contractor. When I spoke to Mr. Davis over the phone, he was very unprofessional and raised his voice to me more than once. He could not set a time when he could come back out and finish the floor. I spoke to him the second time and he talked to me as if I was a female dog. He doesn’t understand customer service. He was away on vacation when my floor was done and his man had told him that my floor had completed. He even tried to charge me extra to come back out here and finish his job. He has a lot of growing up to do, I think. The manager form floor trader came to look at the work, he even brought me a box of tiles incase I needed them; he told me that he would stand behind this floor longer than the warranty because I was unsatisfied. I don’t have a problem with Floor Trader I just have a problem with sub-contractor.
Description of Work: Brian Davis was the subcontractor that came by the store to install the laminate floors that I bought from the store.
