Outstanding!!! Excellent!! The whole process from start to finish was so well done! I don’t believe you’ll find anything else that can match or out do what this company did for us.

The addition was built ahead of schedule, below budget and to perfection. We had an architect design the addition, but Dennis Kidd, being extremely knowledgeable and experienced about construction, made several suggestions which we adopted. We were extremely pleased with the flawless final product and could not be happier. Once Dennis finished the addition, he recommended that instead of installing cedar siding to match the existing 32 year old siding, to save money, that we replace the siding on the entire house since the original siding had significant damage, rot and mold. We hired DAK construction to do so, and while the job was much more complex than anticipated due to damage to the existing siding, his team persevered and did an amazing job. The house looks new and is rot and mold free. I recommend DAK construction and Dennis Kidd for any construction job regardless of size, complexity and scope. He and his team do exceptional work.

Best construction work I have ever seen. Our old cedar deck was poorly constructed and falling apart. The first contractor to show up after numerous calls was Dennis Kidd of DAK. He understood exactly what we wanted in a trex deck, provided a quick and fair estimate and got the job done right with no complaints. I think this is rare in this business. The other guys quotes were outrageous or they told me it couldn't be done. Need to mention his employees who are true master craftsmen and work hard and with precision.

They can do wood and composite decks. They used quality materials, the boards on top of the deck do not have a single knot in them. They work steadily and well. The crew was highly confident, and everything went smoothly.

Dennis met with me several times going over the design of the project and after signing the contract said he would begin work in 3 weeks.  The project was begun and finished on schedule and the professionalism and workmanship was fantistic.  The pavilion is a beautiful addition to my home and yard and we love entertaining on it. It is admired by all my friends.

This is a follow-up to my comments dated Feb. 3, 2014 and concerns the PVC pergola.  This follow-up is unrelated to the issue mentioned in the original posting.
Within five months of the December completion date, I noticed peeling paint on the pergola, specifically the ends of the stringers and rafters.  I contacted Dennis Kidd and asked him to inspect the pergola at his convenience.  After five months of waiting, Dennis has not yet repaired the pergola.
The pergola is marketed exclusively by Trex and is made by Backyard America. Fortunately, Backyard America offers a 25-year warranty for "material defects in workmanship and materials."  My current plan is to contact Backyard America directly to solve the peeling paint issue.

The entire project took about a week.  We encountered only one issue which was resolved quickly.  Dennis Kidd told us repeatedly that he overbuilds his products and he is absolutely correct.  Our deck is solid and looks great.  We are very happy with the results.

Dennis Kidd gave us an estimate for the job and gave us less costly alternatives, as well. Once we began, he came to the house every day to review what had been done and answer our questions. Work was completed on time and excellent workmanship. His crew was very punctual, hard-working, polite, and did excellent work.

I love my new deck.  The crew did a great job.  The deck is sturdy and beautiful.  Dennis was easy to work with, and was always responsive and helpful.  I would definitely use them again and have already recommended them to a friend.

It took the owner several weeks to return my initial call, but after that he kept in better contact via email.  He showed us materials and went over our questions and had his crew build a deck to our specifications.  Our deck is a full story off the ground and we have an inground propane tank to build around, so we wanted to make sure it was well built.  He used high quality #1 lumber for the framing and supports.  All the other contractors I got bids from told me they use #2 lumber.  His bid was $680 higher than the other bids which is hard to believe since he used higher grade lumber, trex transcend decking boards and trex transcend railing.  His company is certified by trex, so that means our deck is under a 2 year warranty (there is a 5 year warranty option if you use trex elevations steel framing system).  I was very comfortable around his crew which is very important for me.  They were a courteous and hard-working crew.  If the weather had cooperated, they would have been done within a few days.
