Cogswell Stone

Very nice to work with. Everyone that I had contact with was very professional, explained things completely and to my simple understanding, had very good suggestions and were very patient with the time it took me to choose each of the options needed at each phase of the process.

Kate at Cogswell was very patient and worked extremely well with me to help choose a stone that would both fit the budget and be something I didn't have to and quot;settleand quot; on. The measuring of the countertops went well because when it came time to install, all fit exactly like it should have.

Everyone was very pleasant to work with, knowledgable, clear in explaining what preparations I needed to do ahead of time, and how to care for the countertops afterwards. All were very patient with my questions, and the time it took me to finally choose which granite to go with. Kate was extremely helpful in choosing which granite to go with. I took several trips to their shop and then when to Richmond stone yard that supplies them in choosing the countertop. In the end I chose one that Kate suggested after seeing my likes and budget constraints. I love my new countertops!

Due to the nature of our business we needed the work performed within very specific time frames. The owner of the
company, Mr. John Cogswell, personally came to our plantation to assess
our need. We had previously received a quote from another company, but
we didn't feel confident that our schedule would be honored (and, for
what it's worth, we never met the owner). Mr. Cogswell suggested
several plans to do the install around our schedule, and his crew was
extremely flexible and accommodating. We had the work performed on two
separate days, and the installers couldn't have been nicer. Once we
removed some old wood, we needed to make some adjustments/decisions and quot;in the fieldand quot;, and they were patient, informative, and confident. They were very respectful of our property, using tarps to protect our floors, and cleaning once they were finished. We've already scheduled them to take additional measurements for more granite work in the near future.

This work was installed during house construction back in 2006 so this company's current status is not known. At the time however, the Cogswell installer was the only tradesman on the entire project who stood by his work and actually seemed proud of his efforts. It was a beautiful job and, 5 years later, still gleams with all the original color, finish, and craftsmanship we saw when it was new. Cogswell's display room and warehouse were like candy stores...gorgeous stone, beautifully finished, compelling to look at. We received a written proposal which was sufficiently detailed. The work was done expeditiously. The installer was courteous and focused on his work.

Very positive experience. They were helpful, informative, and professional. They aren't the cheapest around but you get what you pay for.

They were very thorough. They came out and made the template for our countertops. When I realized that I wanted to add something else to the job, they added that. They got everything done in a timely manner. The work looks beautiful.

I love doing business with Cogswell from the showroom to the installation! Outstanding customer service! We started with one appointment to visit the showroom and see the stone choices, but had to come back several times before we made our final choices (they encourage you to make more than one visit). The installers were professional and thorough. The end result was fantastic! My neighbor liked it so much, she called Cogswell to install granite countertops in her kitchen.
