I perused the Albemarle Furniture Service website and the many glowing testimonials of the work of owner Tom Williamson. Tom called me back after my email contact to him and we made an appointment for him to come to my house and give me an estimate of the restoration and refinishing of my solid and veneered mahogany piece. He arrived on time, as promised, gave me a professional, written estimate of the cost to do the work, showed me before and after pictures of a similar piece, and left the written estimate and his business brochure and business card. There was no separate charge for the estimate itself. Tom carefully loaded the piece into his truck and promised to have the job completed within two weeks. He actually finished and called me to return the piece a couple days early. Tom was prompt and a professional in every respect and did a beautiful job refinishing and restoring my precious antique.
