Great Space Etc

Within two weeks we were given a set of crudely drawn sketches for the overall look of the remodel along with a statement for $1052 to be paid that day. From mid-November until Dec 8th, a couple of phone calls were exchanged to ask/answer questions. On Dec 5th 2011 we received a statement for an additional amount but without stating precisely what additional work  had been done. Dec 8th I had an appointment to meet K.Bilicki at Lowe's kitchen/cabinet department to look at some cabinet options.  From Dec 8th until Jan 12th 2012 no contact from Kathy Bilicki either by email, phone, or personal visits. She wouldn't answer my calls, return my emails or respond to me in any way. Her answering machine at the shop mysteriously was left off so no messages could be left for her. But yet, a third statement was generated by her to us asking us for yet more money!  I had to have our contractor intervene on our behalf on Jan 12th to find out the status of our project as he was the only one she responded to.  He informed us that K.Bilicki no longer wanted to work on our project but gave us no specific reason why.  We didn't mind by this time as we didn't want to continue the relationship either. Our contractor is the one who needed whatever drawings she had to-date, so that his company could help us finish our plans and remodel. Her materials to us were out-dated by a couple of years, for cabinetry and she has ONE source/contact at Lowe's and refuses to work with a client if they want to use another cabinet source not on the Eastern Shore of VA.  Her excuses are family responsibilities, drive time, so many hours in a day. Our contractor has lost clients and some friends due to Ms.Bilicki's unprofessional manner and inability to follow through on agreed upon projects. If you have money and time to waste, then by all means this is the business owner for you on the Eastern Shore of VA. At this rate Great Space ETC will be out of business and Ms. Bilicki penniless within a few short months. As well she should be.  Our contractor had to secure the hand drawn plans from Great Space ETC in order for us to keep our project viable.
