WOODCRAFT BUILDERS

We had a leak and it took over 2 years to get it resolved. We called numerous times, they would say they were coming and then never showed. Finally, they sent someone out and he fixed it but before that we constantly had leaks and it ruined a lot of important paperwork in our home office. Now, the railing is bowed. I called and left a message informing them of the probIem, no one returned my call. My husband said he would try to fix it, but we are very busy and do have a warranty on this service. So I  have been trying to contact them since last summer. The last time I called and found out that thier numbers were disconnnected.

I requested a bid (Estimate) on June 22, 2010 and as of June 29, 2010 I have not received a response from this company. I have decided to cross them off of my list of companies as a week with absolutely no response is unacceptable. If they are unresponsive to a simple estimate, I am not interested in receiving a proposal and/or having to attempt to contact/correspond with them after potential proposal has been accepted. A companies first impression really matters - promptness is important.

Workmen were very pleasant---Mike in particular. All of the workmen assigned were hard working. Some of the finish details could be better EX . caulking

They have never showed up!

They did magnificent work. The owner was very involved and very professional. We gave him a deposit and then after the first part of the job we gave him more money and then when the job was finished we paid the balance. They were very punctual and the job was done in four weeks. We highly recommend this company.

The contract was for 60-90 days for them to finish the job. By the time they were finished it took 9 months and my lawyer had to interject 2 times. The installers did a good job. I feel that the problems were because of the office staff.

The sales person was very good! He talked me into signing a contract the day he came out in order to get a 10% discount. Their estimate was double the cost of my other estimate. I checked out some referrals and decided to stay with them b/c of everything he promised. The balcony work went well, but the building of the new bench did not. We called the project manager (who was supposed to check in everyday) on a Sat. afternoon to say we weren't pleased with the bench so far. We called again Mon. morning and left another message. He called Monday at 4pm after the workers had finished the bench, and he never mentioned our calls. The bench is poorly constructed and made from scratch with no evidence of the blueprints drawn up. The vertical boards were cut unevenly, and there are extra drill holes on 23 of 32 boards. The storage tops are heavy and hard to lift. It is below average workmanship for above average prices.

WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT IN MARCH. THEY STARTED CONSTRUCTION IN AUGUST. THEY FINISHED AFTER THE NEW YEAR. IT LEAKS LIKE A SIEVE. THEY DON'T RETURN CALLS. THEIR CONSTRUCTION CREWS BAD MOUTH THE MANAGEMENT, WHO WHEN THEY'RE ON SITE BAD MOUTH THE WORK OF THE CREWS. THEY'RE BOTH RIGHT!
