They are always done within the time period and estimate. Nice you have until 10pm to go pick up your car so you can wait until the traffic dies down.

They are wonderful. They are very knowledgeable. They always do things correctly except one time but they corrected it immediately. Very very honest. They don't rip you off.

They did not replace my brakes even though another merchant (Mr. Tire in Baily's crossroads) told me I REALLY needed them.

I made an appointment for 7:30 am on a Saturday for a simple oil change. I admittedly arrived 15 minutes late and was told I had to come back at noon and leave the car until 2:00 pm. I have been using this station for buying all my gas and oil changes for two care for over 12 years. Their gas price is often more than other stations, price of oil change is fair though. But, we have also had most of our repair work done by this station for those 12 years. The work was good, though they do overcharge by quite a bit. At several points they quoted prices that were almost double of what trusted mechanic I know quoted. However, we usually stuck with this Sunoco station because the other mechanic is quite a distance away and this station is just down the road. We were willing to overlook the higher price for the sake of convenience. However, I was extremely disturbed to be turned away because of being slightly late for an appointment. I'VE BEEN A GREAT CUSTOMER FOR 12 YEARS AND HAVE PUT THOUSANDS (IF NOT TENS OF THOUSANDS) OF DOLLARS IN THEIR POCKET, and then they treated me as though my time was worth nothing to them. They have lost me as a customer. I VERY STRONGLY ADVISE AGAINST PATRONIZING THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS and I will make sure that my neighbors are aware of my experience with them.

These guys are terrific. Fixed a problem with my car tires and TPSM system that other mechanics were not able. The cost was reasonable. Even let make an appointment so I could wait for the repair, and honored the time. Have been going there for years and will continue to.

I have never commented on an auto service before but feel compelled after my experience today at the Oakton Sunoco service center on Hunter Mill road. I first needed to get my battery replaced; something I had to do and was not shopping for best deal. During the discussion I was made aware of their pricing for what comprises an A1 service so I went with it. Electronic maintenance was reset, etc. The service was done on time and took about 1 hour to complete which was the expectation. Andrew and the mechanic were both friendly and straight talking. Once I got home and reviewed this work in comparison to the same work done in past A1 services, i could not believe the savings; huge difference! So to sum up, my experience was very positive based on three things, customer oriented approach, cost, and minimal time investment (they are on my way to work and near where I live). They will have both me and my wife's business in the future.

I strongly recommend them. The service manager is Kevin Ryan. They didn't charge me for putting the free on in again. They just did it and they called me to bring it back again to check the leak. They are very professional. They reward customer loyalty. Their prices are competitive. They stand by their work. I would use their services again in the future.

Dropped car off. Got estimate. Was generally reasonable. Repairs were good. Return was on time as estimated. Chris, the Service Manager, is very nice.

Called me to advise that I had already performed some items during past visit and didn't need to repeat at that point. I had forgotten these things. Was delighted with their honesty, as an unscrupulous mechanic might have simply followed my request and charged me for services that I didn't really need.

This place is great for inspections, but I had a bad experience with them when I brought my car in for service. I called to see if I could get a free estimate and was told yes, but when I brought it in, they told me, "nothing is wrong with it and you owe us $40." (I can't recall if that was the exact amount, but it was something like that.) By the way the mechanic spoke to me, I got the sense that they barely looked at my car, and when I told the manager that he personally had told me on the phone that the estimate would be free, he replied that he doesn't work for nothing and then he practically threw my keys at me and ripped up the bill. I'm glad he didn't make me pay but I felt they were dishonest and would not use them again for anything but inspections.

I got the estimate quickly and the work was performed the same day. (When I called the car dealership I usually go to, they didn't even have time to look at it in the same day.) The car has been running well ever since. I chose Oakton Sunoco because of the Angie's List reports of Kevin's reputation for honesty, and sure enough, even though I asked to have the tires rotated, the car came back with a note that they didn't really need it yet.

Our car was leaking transmission fluid and coolant. Turns out the transmission gasket needed to be replaced; the station also performed a standard transmission servicing. The coolant was a different story. Blown head gasket. The service manager, Kevin, gave me an estimate. It's an expensive repair. However, he was good enough to point out that I should contact my dealer, as I might squeak in the repair under their power-train warranty (a point I hadn't thought about). Turns out he was right, which saved me over $1000. This kind of ethical approach is all too rare, and it gives me a real sense of trust in Kevin. I won't hesitate to use him and Oakton Sunoco in the future. I should also point out that throughout this process the communication was excellent and very responsive.

We've had both of our cars repaired at this service station over the past three years, and have been pleased with their service, prices, and integrity. This was no exception. The AAA guy who towed us told my husband it was likely he'd need a new engine after driving through deep water, but Oakton Mobil was able to salvage the situation with repairs. Several months later, the car has continued to run well. Their mechanics seem knowledgeable and the service manager (Kevin) is a pleasure to work with. They always call before proceeding with work, and provide options. The work was done in a timely manner, and the car is returned in good shape.
