We hired Image flooring, kitchen, and bath for the remodeling of the bathrooms. First of all, it took them 6 weeks to start the project and the contractor was a very unprofessional and very volatile person. He did not deliver on his promises and finally decided to quit on the project saying that the remaining work is out his scope, but wanted to be fully paid. He treated me and my family with disrespect on multiple occasions. On the last day, his behavior was very unprofessional and I was afraid that he might cause me or my family harm. The best way to describe it is that he lost his temper and started yelling, screaming, ripping his mask off and running around the living room than in the driveway. Because of the disagreement, he ordered his works to get in the house and break all the tiles in the bathroom and said " I will not leave you with finished bathrooms to enjoy, they belong to me". Once, I decide to video his behavior, he decided not to enter the house. His worker came back, once I left the house, and took all the supplies based on his order. I have pictures and videos to share with you and you be the judge. Think twice before you hire this company. As you see large gaps with Redguard, This is their idea of waterproofing. The tab shows mismatched fixtures and the cabinets are missing handles. I am unable to upload the video but as soon as give it out, I will share it with all.

"Well typical. The job was for $30,000 and Mr. [Member Name Removed] kept adding stuff and complaining that the last contractor he had to sue (see a pattern here?) He kept moving the goal post. I went to middle & high school with his wife and gave them an amazing price. He said "no change orders" and then kept upgrading and holding money hostage. Example: Exhaust vent in small bathroom - he demanded that we put it in the center of the room, I explained we put it where the original was and that an exhaust was not a fixture and didn't go in the center like a light. He didn't agree & wanted me to do it for free. His wife is awesome and I love working with her. The bathroom are GORGEOUS. I did get upset b/c the bathrooms were done and he was holding $10K and offered me $1K. And yes, during this pandemic where I the business owner have literal family's mouths to feed - I did get up set. And the pictures here are laughable. Please show the finished product! You wripped my company off $5000 so when the extra knobs came in, I wasn't very motivated to contact you. I can't BELIEVE you wrote this. I still love your wife. All I can say is, it's fortunate for our company that we have 2 decades of VERY HAPPY clients and that even with this VENGEFUL "F" we still average an A. :)"

This was the second renovation for which we hired Image Flooring & Design to perform the work and we could not be happier. The first renovation was a guest bathroom that we hired Solomon and his team to renovate two years ago. They did a great job. This project was much larger and included gutting our original (1969) master bathroom, moving fixtures and walls, and creating a walk-in closet from the bedroom next to the bathroom. After receiving proposals from 4 different companies, we chose to go with Image. They were not the lowest nor the highest price, but we were comfortable with them and knew that the work would be done right. It was. Solomon and the Project Manager, Mr. Fikri, were amazing. Every step of the way they made sure everything was going right, according to the plan. Any questions that came up and decisions that needed to be made, they were thorough, fair, reasonable and always had great ideas. The communication was great. We knew exactly when Mr. Fikri and his team would arrive to work and they did. The master bathroom is now a beautiful focal point of our home with a state of the art glass-enclosed shower, a water closet, heated floors in the bathroom, and a magazine quality walk-in closet. Two months later my wife and I still feel like we live in a hotel. We already have our next project planned (a kitchen renovation) and we will not hesitate to hire Image once again to perform the work. We highly recommend them.

Image Flooring A Gem in the Oakton Shopping Center Looking for new floors? Or a new kitchen? Or new bathrooms or a remodeled rec room? Look no further than Image Flooring in the Oakton Shopping Center. This small, hands-on, service-oriented company in a gem. A real diamond. In short, they’re the BEST we’ve ever seen in our nearly three score years in Vienna. They find and resolve problems we didn’t even identify – such as faulty wiring, bad plumbing, and a broken dryer vent – all the fault of the original builder that were causing us problems! First, let’s start will James Kifonidis, the owner, with the design talent of a Pericles in ancient Athens. This guy is brilliant – no hyperbole. Brilliant. He gave us a kitchen that exceeded our expectations. When James talks – we listen. The guy is that good. Next there’s Solomon, James’ right-hand man in the showroom. We worked with Solomon, who’s as wise as his name, last year in choosing and installing maple flooring and walnut railings in our townhouse. He worked closely with us to choose just the right details for our home. Solomon told us they’d start work on a certain date, and he was true to his word. He was 100% involved in the project from start to finish. Solomon maintained constant communications with us – at each and every decision point in the process and in between. We built up so much confidence in James and Solomon last year [2017] that we asked them to completely remodel our 40-year old kitchen this summer [2018]. James did the design that knocked our socks off. And the company’s master craftsman from Portugal, Adrian, executed the plan – and added his own unique design features as well. Adrian is a diamond. A truly rare and unique talent. He made furniture in the old country, and his skills and artistry and craftsmanship were in full display in our kitchen. The man has a UNIQUE gift. He solved problems we didn’t even know existed. His skill in executing the work – from crafting new molding out of mahogany to installing vintage wall sconces to installing cabinets, a toe-warmer, and all the appliances, and, executing all the finesse work, was awesome to behold. We can’t say enough good things about Adrian! In addition to his skill, by the way, Adrian is a true gentleman. A caballero. As our James and Solomon. This troika always, always, always puts the customer first. We have such confidence in James and Solomon and Adrian that we gave them the keys to our house while we were out of town on vacation in June. You can trust this team to deliver a product that is above and beyond what you paid for. Again, this is no exaggeration from a United States Marine Corps veteran. Trust me – go to them. Look no further, then, to Image Flooring in Oakton for all of your home renovation needs. As we say in the naval services, Bravo Zulu to James, Adrian, and Solomon. Image did a marvelous job. James, the owner, helped us with picking out the cabinets and designing the layout. He was able to show a computer rendering of the plans before making the final decision. His partner, Solomon, also helped in guiding us through selecting a new banister with metal spindles. After making the cabinet and flooring decision, he referred us to DALTILE to decide on the countertop. After deciding on a quartz, we were then referred to Conestoga Tile to decide on a backsplash. Both DALTILE and Conestoga Tile were extremely helpful and professional. We love the result. Image has their own crew that does the installation. It is led by Adrian who is superb. The other members are Omar, Steve, and Ray. They were punctual, considerate, and neat. As we watched the demo, the installation, and the final clean-up, we were impressed with the high quality of craftsmanship. All of them took a great deal of pride in the job they were doing. After hearing a number of horror stories about renovation, I am happy to say that our experience with Image Flooring Kitchen and Bath was wonderful. If we ever need anymore renovation, we will go directly to Image.

This was my third kitchen renovation and by far the smoothest. James worked with me on a great design that met my requirements and budget. Adrian and his crew were punctual, professional, neat, and a delight to have working on the project. They went above and beyond to make sure the project was done beautifully, and provided useful suggestions of ways to make things even better. I have gotten numerous compliments on the quality and beauty of the finished product. The materials they provided (cabinets, backsplash, flooring and lighting) were high quality. The counter sub-contractor (the only sub in the project) had an amazing inventory to choose from, and did great work. Overall this project far exceeded my expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any home project. I expect to use them for a bath remodel in the future. They were a joy to work with.

Image Flooring, Kitchen & Bath did a wonderful job with the renovation of our kitchen while we were away on vacation. We were quite impressed with James Kifonidis, co-owner of the company, who helped us design the kitchen. His skill with the computer design software, and his knowledge of construction and the beautiful Shiloh cabinets, which he uses exclusively, is impressive. His construction foreman, Adrian, is not only an excellent carpenter and electrician, but he gave recommendations for new lighting that made a lot of sense and greatly improved the project. They were able to match the existing flooring well, and made the kitchen much more practical and beautiful. Most important for any home renovation is trusting the people who will do it. Both James & Adrian are good guys; you know that when you meet them. They did a fantastic job and confirmed our trust in them. We highly recommend Image Flooring, Kitchen & Bath.

The stain itself was done fairly well. I picked out a custom color myself and tested it on boards first. However, the stain ended up creeping up to the baseboards quite a bit, even after the shoe molding was placed at the edge. I complained and they sent someone to paint all the baseboards white, but he could only do a small portion of it in the allotted time. I had to then hire someone on my own to paint the rest of the baseboards because they were covered with stain throughout. I made them pay for it but it was very disconcerting and took a huge chunk of time. Still isn't perfect because the lines are very difficult to get perfectly straight. If they had been more careful laying the stain in the first place, I would not have been in this position.
The second floor was all new flooring. After a while, the floor began to tent in many places. It is like walking over ridges. It is not laid properly. I have asked a few people that I know to look at it and they said it was laid down improperly. I asked the owner to take a look and he said it was the subfloor. He sarcastically asked me if I thought he built this house! He got a little angry that I was suggesting that he do something to fix it. I felt very uncomfortable. If the subfloor was uneven or ridged (doubt it since all the neighbors houses are fine), shouldn't the subfloor have been fixed first?! Bad craftsmanship and even worse customer service.

"The flooring on both levels look beautiful. I think the "F" rating is a little harsh. We did a lot to accommodate a special stain, trying to match the new stain to the pre-finished new wood upstairs which are maple. The first floor was oak, this was a challenge but we went the extra mile to make it work. Looks great. We had a special stain mixed and sent an employee out very quickly to touch up the baseboard. The client withheld $500 even after we painted. The prefinished flooring on the second level was installed to industry standard and looks fantastic. We have been servicing that neighborhood for over a decade with nothing but glowing reviews. This particular client was very passive-aggressive at every stage of the transaction. We would prefer not to do work for this particular client in the future. Lastly, I would note that the address listed on this complaint is not the address where we installed."

James and Adrian were wonderful to work with. They make a perfect team. For the first part of the work which was the kitchen, flooring and wainscoting, they had given us an estimate of two weeks to have a functioning kitchen and washer/dryer, and four weeks for the whole job. They essentially finished within that time frame which is amazing. All of the workers came on time, did their jobs really well and cleaned up after themselves. James was able to coordinate all of the specialists, so that there was a smooth flow of the work. The coffered ceiling in the family was a project that was a solution to some support beams that were an eyesore that Adrian was able to solve with the coffered ceiling. It is extremely elegant and along with the wainscoting, makes our family room the most beautiful room in the house. Once work began on the coffered ceiling, it was done very quickly. Due to the fact that the project was only added at the end of the original project, we waited a reasonable amount of time for the work to begin. All in all, I would recommend them to anyone looking to undertake a large, or small, remodeling job. James knows someone who can do anything, if Adrian can't do it himself. James keeps up with the latest trends, so he can give good advice about what you should do. We also appreciated that we didn't have a dumpster sitting out front of our house, which given the size of the project, we were expecting.

I gave them a date when I would be available to have the job done. They were able to come within a few days of that date and gave me a 2 week time frame. They were finished within the 2 weeks with just a few minor items left. The workmen were prompt, very helpful and kept everything cleaned up when leaving each day. Within that time frame I changed my mind about the finish of the bathroom fixtures which they were able to do with no loss of time. We are enjoying our new bathrooms very much. We also had our Master Bathroom renovated by the same company over 10 years ago and have enjoyed it.

The job went well and the results exceeded my expectations. It took Mr. Hung about a week to remove my old oak banisters and balustrades with natural maple ones. The old banisters and balustrades were not up to current code, meaning that the posts were far enough apart to enable an infant to wiggle through, but the new ones are and are solidly installed. After the job was completed, Mr. Hung gladly came back to repair some small glitches on one banister. In signing the contract, I incorrectly specified that solid maple be used for the hardwood floor, but after learning that I needed to have a floating floor installed for sound deadening purposes, Image Flooring was able to switch out the flooring so that the job could begin on time. Majid and his crew did a magnificent job in removing the old floor and in installing the new maple floor and shoe moldings, and they we're meticulous in their work. They were also helpful in providing advice on how to care for the new floor. All in all, I'm highly pleased with the quality of the wood and the workmanship.

James, the owner, is very friendly, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The original delivery and installation date was postponed several times because of issues with the company who provided the floors. James kept me up to date and made sure the floor was installed a.s.a.p.. The people who installed were fast, clean and professional. Our floor looks great. Highly recommended flooring company.

Image Flooring does not sub-contract the work which is a big plus. It has a dedicated, knowledgeable, trustworthy crew that was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end, and the operation is fully licensed and insured. Adriano the team leader is a master at his work and can solve any problem that might arise. Each and every day (2 weeks) the team was punctual, hard working, and very importantly made every effort to keep the work areas clean in order to minimize dust creeping into the rest of the house. The owner of Image Flooring (James) is knowledgeable, personable, and easy to work with at all stages of the project. He makes every effort to accommodate the customer requirements. I can say definitively you will not be disappointed in Image Flooring's work.

Image Flooring was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. Although Image's showwoom is not large, it features a good collection ot tile, cabinets, and fixtures, making it easy to grasp how the different components would come together. I found James to be knowledgeable, flexible, and easy to work with, facilitating the decisionmaking process. II found his installers, espcially Adriano, to be punctual, courteous, thoughtful, and extremely hard working--I could scarcely believe how quickly they demolished the old bathrooms and began working on their replacements. I really like the quality and design features of the Shiloh cabinets they installed, and the tile and tile work iin both bathrooms is simply spectacular. I also like the recessed lighting in both bathrooms, the granite countertops which coordinate well with the tile, the brushed nickel fixtures, and the glass doors in the walk-in masterbath. Although the necessity of having the work inspected by Fairfax County extended the timeline a few days, tthe job was completed and approved within a month.

We first went into Image Flooring to research different types of flooring that we would like to put in. We've visited the shop on 3 different occasions. James and another sales rep were helpful but not pushy in selling their product. James came to the house to take some measurements and offered helpful ideas on how to connect the existing flooring with the new. When we were finally ready to purchase, Image flooring came in with the better pricing.
The installation process took two days to complete. The work was done by subcontractors who work with Image Flooring but not direct Image Flooring staff. On the first day, James came and looked at the space. There was a confusion as to who was responsible for prepping one of the areas. James took care of the issue. The installers were conscientious of our desire on how we wanted the floors to be laid. The workers cleaned up at the end of the day. On the last day, we felt the installers rushed to get the job done. For that reason, we gave them a B on quality. If they had not rushed, the area they were installing would have looked better. They were responsive to feedback and make the changes we've requested, how we wanted the floor to lay, how we want the shoe molding to be connected.
We really appreciated James's responsiveness. We had some issues with removal of glue and how the threshold connecting the existing tile and new flooring looked. James sent someone out within few days and made sure we were pleased with the result. On the 2nd day of installation, one of the areas required leveling, James sent over one of his guys right away and again resolved the problem right away. Image did a great job. Once a week my wife tells me how much she likes the kitchen, even six months after installation. We paid a little more than we could have at other places, but it was worth it to have a quality carpenter install the cabinets. Just as important, they came back several times to follow up on unfinished pieces or correct minor mistakes. We have had bad experiences with others who install something then disappear, with no sense of ownership for their work. Image took ownership and pride in their work and it resulted in a superior job.

We were most pleased with our entire experience with Image Flooring Center for the selection and installation of ceramic tile in our entry and kitchen and ceramic tile with electric radiant heat in our sunroom. They helped us select the tile for the project. As soon as we selected the tile, their estimator came out to measure and we received their estimate the following day. Their crew not only prepared the subflooring and laid the radiant heat mats and tile, but also completed the electrical installations for the heated flooring. (The other flooring company we talked to would only lay the heating mats and would leave all arrangements for the electrical work to us.) The tile floor is beautiful?and warm. All of Image Flooring?s work on this project was done in a timely and professional manner.
After our favorable experience with Image Flooring Center for the floor tile project, we also selected them to install wall-to-wall carpeting in other rooms. Again, the estimate came in promptly and the carpet installation was excellent and completed in a timely manner. We would use this company for future projects.

It's a pleasure working with owner James and the work team led by do-it-all craftsman Adriano. I said I would hire Image again after the company remodeled three bathrooms during the 2012/13 winter - despite one or two "hiccups" - because of their splendid work ethic, flexibility and commitment to customer satisfaction. I am thoroughly pleased that I did. The new kitchen is everything my wife and I hoped it would be: ceiling-high wooden cabinetry, partly cottage-pane above, all-drawer slide-outs on the lower level, with all manner of cunning space-use and clever details too numerous to elaborate here (these are all worked out with James and the help of catalogues during the early planning, "ideas" phase).
Adriano and the team showed the same punctuality and diligence as when they remodeled the bathrooms, and because both parties to the transaction worked hard from the start to ensure that each knew exactly what could be done and how it would be done there were no hitches to speak of in the roll-out.
