Laurie Beth was great to work with! We were getting our house ready to list for sale and the office felt overwhelming with piles of papers, overflowing file drawers and clutter. In four hours she helped us go through all our file drawers and thin them out (we actually have empty drawers now!), file the papers piled on the desk and shelves, and helped us to get a much better handle on our office. It not only helped us in getting our house ready to sell, but gave us valuable information to be able to maintain it going forward. She was friendly, encouraging and kept us going the entire time. She provided valuable information on what to keep, what to get rid of and suggestions on how to organize things that weren't previously organized. At the end, she hauled away all the trash and took everything to be shredded to a shredding company for us. I would highly recommend her services!

It took 9 days (over several months), 6 hrs each day, with 2 people working from Ace of Space (with some assistance from me of course, making decisions mostly). It went very very well, although it was pretty tiring for me. Laurie Beth and her assistants just seemed to work tirelessly and hard each time they came out. They were very pleasant and the atmosphere was great while they were here. I was worried about the process, as decluttering can be very personal, but they were respectful and understanding of me and my belongings, while helping me shed a great deal of things I really didn't need to have. The organizing they did was fascinating - after they left, I sometimes couldn't recall where something was put, but it only took a few minutes for me to find it as they had organized things so logically (as well as labeling). This was a very very big job (I like to think that I was not a hoarder but had a really big problem just not getting rid of things, or organizing what I had). Another benefit is that thanks to their work, I can see what I have and save money not buying the same things over and over again. In terms of cost, Ace of Space quoted costs were in line with other organizers I checked with before hiring them. Your mileage may vary, because of course cost is related to the size of the job or other issues related to it (such as travel when you're in an out-of-the-way place). Ace of Space offered me package deals if I committed to a certain amount of time, which I took advantage of, and that lowered my expense. If you contact them, they're up front on pricing (as were other organizers I contacted). It went so well that I, if I find that I run into more clutter creep (highly likely, unfortunately), I plan on hiring Ace of Space again for a "tune-up".

It went really well! We had 2 staff members help my husband and I for 4 sessions. They were incredibly efficient and helped us clear clutter and other unneeded items out of our main living space, bedrooms, basement and organized my daughter's nursery. They did an amazing job with the nursery. They unpacked and organized all of the items we received from the showers. I arrived home from work after their session and the nursery was completed (even labled drawers etc soon could easily find everything).

I recently lost my husband and was overwhelmed with the amount of “stuff” that he had accumulated. I tried several times to tackle the load of tools, gear and equipment but found it to be a very daunting task and quickly realized I needed help. I contacted Ace of Space and met with Laurie shortly thereafter. We scheduled two sessions to sort through everything. Laurie and her team were absolutely amazing. They not only helped me decide what to keep, donate or trash, but they did a superb job organizing all the kept items and even arranged for pick-up of the items to be donated and trashed. I was very impressed with Ace of Space and it was a pleasure working with them. They were professional, efficient, and friendly. They did an outstanding job and completed a task that I never would have been able to accomplish on my own. I highly recommend them for any organizational needs.

My husband and I waited a complete year to move into a new fixer upper . The contractors took forever and it was a nightmare. We were living in our old house while it was being shown and lost selling it once because we couldn't move out. Everything during that year had been kept in boxes, the old and the new. We lived in a world of clutter, hundreds of full boxes and bags. I was overwhelmed, I didn't remember where everything was anymore. And of course, when the renovation was ready, we immediately sold the old house, so in 3 days we just stuffed boxes in a hurry with all kinds of things --no sorting as we had intended. Then we moved and I started a new job. Completely overwhelmed, I looked for help and found Laurie Beth, who assigned Raquel to work with me. Raquel was EXTREMELY understanding and helped me go little by little, object by object. Piled everything in groups to throw, keep and donate. Helped my mind to rest and feel I was being helped. She's super respectful, and knows what she's doing. She has come to the house several times, at MY request, no pushing from them. Due to a long trip, we couldn't finish all that I wanted and needed to do, but I'm retaking my overdue task soon, and am definitely calling out for Raquel's help. Thank you for a great service! J

What stood out most was she very professional and when you are trying to organize sometimes that can be like they are into your intimate space in your closet and your learning space and she was very professional. She wasn't judgmental because you have lot of things every where she did made me feel very productive and I didn't feel like she was judging like oh my god this is so messy or whatever so. I am continue to use them with the fix bed that she gave during the time we were organizing. I think considering what she did cost was good. I would definitely use her again.

Went fine. It had been a while since we met -- I use Ace of Space DC often to keep me on track. But time had passed. We had already worked extensively to create files and places where certain kinds of papers or reading or other written material needed to go. So, with motivation from Ace of Space DC, we plunged in. This organizer already knows what I want to keep in most cases but sometimes would stop to ask me some questions. We cleared away the pile of papers, receipts, magazines and had time to work on cleaning the kitchen a bit so that visitors could come by without my embarrassment. Ace of Space DC works very efficiently -- no time is wasted. No judgments and a great attitude that is upbeat and professional.

Ace of Space started with purging clothes in my walk in closet and all the dresser drawers as well as a few storage bins that I had in the back of my closet and in another room.  They created a detailed list of all the items we bagged up for my tax records and she and her team took the many bags with them and donated them for me.  She had a list of charities that she donated to or she would have donated to anyone that I wanted her to donate them to. I went with her list.

On her 2nd visit we cleaned out our home office.  The team went through every scrap of paper and organized them into folders and established a filing system as well as an incoming mail station and bill paying station.  We hadn't seen the floor in that office for years and in 4 hours it looked great and was ready for use.

If you have a lot of problem areas I recommend getting the 4 appointment package deal.  You will save money and the appointments don't expire. Its really easy to set up a date and time with Laurie Beth and her team to come out and help you. The appointments are usually 4 hours long.

Laurie Beth organized all of my pictures in folders on my PC.  I had an issue with a vendor and she suggested filing an information/claim with the Better Business Bureau and it brought marvelous results. She also helps with my paperwork. Originally, she helped me downsize from my home to a condo. In hours we did days of work.

She is always pleasant, organized, and very efficient.  Do not hesitate to hire her.  I've recommended her to friends and they are as happy as I am with her work.

My house is full of stuff.  I was on the point of becoming a hoarder.  It was hard to have someone come in the house to help, but it didn't bother Laurie and Raquel that the house was filled, and had lots of dust.  They were great about dusting, getting things organized and making helpful suggestions.  When I had a hard time making a decision about whether to keep or donate an item, they were both good about not pushing me to make a decision I wasn't ready to make.  And, I often put the item in the donate pile after they had gone for the day.  I just needed the time to reinforce to myself that I don't need to keep everything.

Laurie will also take donation items to the thrift stores for you so you don't have to do that.  But, I preferred to do that myself and she was good about not pushing me to let her do it.  I had one organizer that didn't want me to hand items once they had been put in the donate pile, as she was afraid I would take stuff out to keep.  But, Laurie made it so easy that I was not tempted to remove items.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to get my whole house cleaned because I ran out of money, but I was very happy with the progress we made.  I have a bedroom that hubby and I can sleep and move around in.  I still have lots of work to do, and am hopeful that I'll be able to have Laurie or Raquel back at some time in the future.

Setting up the appointment was easy!  Lori contacted me promptly and we arranged a date/time that worked for both of us.  She and her assistant showed up promptly at the agreed upon time, a little early in fact!  They bring all the necessary supplies - bags designated for trash, donation/shredding - and get right to work after assessing the challenge to be tackled.

I was amazed at how quickly we cleared away 15 years of clutter that had been stashed away in the walk-in closet.  Once that was done, we focused on the clutter in my son's room.  Next we moved on to the linen closet, also a space that had become a convenient place to stick things I seldom if ever used.  Since we still had plenty of time, we moved on to another bedroom where I had stored years of paperwork that had built up from settling family estates.  They told me what I needed to save and what I could shred.

After a whirlwind 3 hour session, I was exhausted and exhilarated!  Even though I technically had an hour left, we had accomplished everything I had hoped to and MORE!!  It felt terrific to be free of all that "stuff".  They hauled bag after bag to their car to take for donations, and I took care of the bags of trash and shredding (though they offered to take care of that as well).  Lori and her team are very personable and make what can be a traumatic experience FUN!  I'd use them again without hesitation.

Laurie Beth was amazing!!!!!!!!  We weren't sure if a professional organizer could help us accomplish our goal of helping us organize our belongings from a massive master bedroom/bathroom to our current extremely small master bedroom/bathroom.  She did it!!!!!  After speaking with us, and seeing the whole house, she started taking everything out from all the corners and places that were being used as temporary placements for our belongings.  She encouraged us to let go of a lot and consistently gave me ideas on what to use to utilize the space even better.  Laurie Beth tried to make sure she used all the existing organizers we owned.  My husband was a doubter, but after he saw the end result, he agreed to have her back to help us in our basement next!
