We selected this mover from a list of local movers on U-Haul's website when we rented a U-Haul truck. We prepaid for two hours of their time through U-Haul's website; services to be performed in Pocatello, ID. The person who called us to set up the time for the moving company to be at our new house, left a barely coherent message on our phone. My husband called him back during business hours and he sounded like he was sleeping. We gave the company the benefit of the doubt since we had already paid for services and hoped it wasn't indicative of what was to come. We were so wrong!
When we arrived at our new home with our U-Haul, two workers from this company arrived within a few minutes of the set appointment, so punctuality wasn't a problem. One worker was dressed in a huge t-shirt and very baggy jeans (pretty street-thuggish), had long, dirty looking hair, and had speech and communication difficulties. This was the person in charge of the two person team. The other worker came in tight Wrangler jeans, silver-tipped, high-heeled cowboy boots and a dress shirt. Neither was dressed appropriately for labor and the team lead was not someone I really wanted in my home (given the creep factor) however I had already paid for two hours of their labor and needed the immediate help so that we could return the U-Haul.
When the workers arrived I told both of them that we only needed help with the heavy lifting and that everything else could be moved by my family. Both workers, especially the team lead, attempted to talk and stand around conversing most of the time. When they did begin moving items, they selected the lightest stuff on the truck. I had to micromanage the entire operation to keep them from spending the entire two hours talking and avoiding heavy lifting. They complained about being asked to move things and my nearly 70 year old father ended up doing much of the heavy lifting, along with my husband. I have never seen anything like these guys. They wasted so much time, only to tell us that we could pay them cash to get them to stay longer. They attempted to leave early when our refrigerator was only part of the way to it's destination, until I told them that they still had 15 minutes of services to perform and that we wanted at least the two hours we paid for. It was unbelievable.
Managing these guys was so stressful and the way they took advantage of the situation was really not right. Their lack of professionalism and simply knowing what their job was (how to move things) was overwhelming after a long trip to a new town. Thankfully, we had an amazing experience with the company we hired to load the truck in Boise, ID before we left for our trip. We paid about twice as much to the team that loaded the truck in Boise, but they brought a team of 10 people and did EVERYTHING (they packed things that hadn't yet been packed yet, loaded the truck, cleaned and removed trash from our home, and even made a trip to the dump for us) - all IN 3 and a half HOURS! Those guys were amazing and I will review them separately.

They are cheap and really affordable. The trailer option is really great.

The truck is low to the ground, which makes it easy to load. I liked the price.
