TURPINS FLORIST

Ordered flowers for my Mother-in-law in Pennsylvania and my Mother here in Norfolk. I requested the flowers be delivered on Friday May 10th. My Mother-in-law in PA received her flowers as scheduled on Friday as the order was sent to a florist up in PA. But the flowers for my Mother (who lives within two miles of Turpin's) were never delivered on Friday. I attempted to call but it seemed as if their phone was off the hook. The two times I did get through someone picked up the phone and hung it right up. I began calling again on Saturday. Again the phone was constantly busy. When I did finally get through the woman I spoke with was very short. She kept mentioning that they had over 300 orders for flowers. She said the flowers would be delivered Saturday but my Mother had to be home. My mother was afraid to walk out in the back yard for fear of missing them. She still hadn't received the at 4:30 PM. Again I called Turpin's, again I heard they had over 300 orders and had to stage them out of a church. She said she would check on the order and get back to me. She did not call me back. At 5:30 PM I called her back again, she was very rude when I tried to get an idea of what time they would be delivered. She would only say "Tonight". I informed her my mother was 91 and would not be up all night. My mother finally called and said they came at 7:00 PM. If they couldn't handle the volume of orders they should not have taken so many.
