Princess Anne Automotive Center is located on Princess Anne Road in Norfolk. While we've been here for a while, the business has recently been handed off to Rick Proffitt. Rick has been servicing cars in the Hampton Roads area for decades, and he is excited for the opportunity to move his business to this newer, larger location. When bill was presented, I questioned the brake system flush charge. This has not been addressed in any of the face to face or telephone contacts. Initally, Ron stated it was discussed. He later relented, indicating it had been a busy day and he may have neglected to mention this procedure.
Bottom line--I ended paying $258 for a state inspection and oil change.
I next drove directly from this repair shop to Cottman Transmission. During this short trip, a miracle occurred. The two leaks healed themselves. The only problem that could be found was the valve cover gasket. Total cost $206.
My experience certainly gave the appearance of a major scam. Had I agreed, I would have paid for repairs not needed and thrown away about $550. The charges I did incur were also questionable.
I would warn any potential customer of this company to get back in your car and drive away as fast as the law allows.
