Cyclone Framing Contractor Inc

This contractor was not licensed and knowing framed my second floor without permits and inspections. He admitted to do things wrong because he didn't want to loose future business with the builder. The work was done very poorly. And Tim Barbarisi said he was licensed, but a check with DPOR resulted in no license on file. The city of Norfolk business license department does not have a copy of his contractors license either, which is required by code. Tim Barbarisi did not use drawings to construct the dormer or framing of the second floor. The builder did not have any drawings to give him because he to was trying to avoid city inspections. Tim Barbarisi was going to testify in court for the builder of my home. Even though he told me himself, he knows he did wrong, he would not testify on behalf of me, the home owner who was wronged. He decided to side with the builder that hired him. So beware of where his loyalty is focused. The builder settled out of court prior to the trial, so Barbarisi did not testify as planned. He knowingly furred out the cathedral ceiling to allow for R-19 insulation, where R-38 insulation was suppose to go. This resulted in a $4300 repair to restore the proper level of insulation to these areas. Cyclone Framing also framed the decks. There were cuts made wrong that were covered up. Would was purchased from two different suppliers resulting in different colored pressure treatment. It is my belief, that if Cyclone Framing was to become a licensed contract as required by law, he may be able to conduct work honestly and aboveboard.
