Critter Control

I paid about $1800 for Critter Control to come out and treat my yard for moles/voles. I guess that there were about 7-10 mole trails when I contracted with Critter Control. After coming out several times, I still have 3-4 mole trails. And now Critter Control wants to establish a recurring treatment contract. They completely failed to adequately address my lawn problem and I would never hire them again.

I've used this company three times - two crawls and an attic. In each case, they answered my call right awan and the serviceman was out the very next day and checked traps daily. Price seems fair to me. Work done to seal the crawls has held up. Price depended on whether they had to do repairs to seal crawl or not. Simply placing trap less than repairing vents, etc (of course). Would highly recommend.

The man made 3 or 4 trips to my house to accomplish the purpose. Squirrel is gone, hold coverd. All done.

I worked with Dan, and he was awesome! He was very responsive and was able to come out rather quickly to inspect. He let me know what he found and gave me an estimate for work to be done that would make it impossible for the rats to access the attic. The price was a little more than I wanted to pay at that time, so we worked to rid the attic of the rats that were in there, and trimmed a tree where it appears they had been accessing the attic from. The price for removal of the rats and tree trimming were reasonable, considering the multiple trips that were made to my house. Dan kept me informed of what he was doing and what the next steps were.

Actually, raccoon appeared to have been caught in a trap before and did not come back after trap was set. Sealed up crawl space and it has been a week and no sign of them.

Wise *** little squirrel..... (probably a Hillary supporter) But perseverance by CC finally caught-up with him and trucked him off to a happier hunting ground. And CC acquired and installed a "wise *** little squirrel access denier" over the chimney opening..... Don't think they provide such contraptions for politicos who seem to constantly sneak into your house, though.

He met with the renters and inspected under the house.  He placed bait to poison the mice.  He recommended replacing the crawl space door and getting regular treatments.

Very smoothly.  Tony targeted the specific area, setting the trap on the roof, right near the vent that had been compromised.  Once one squirrel had been caught, he set the vent up to determine if other squirrels were using the entrance, and once it was clear that they were not, the vent was covered permanently with hardware cloth.  He checked carefully for other entrance holes along the gutters, also. There was a minimum of disruption, and Tony knew exactly what he was doing.

Very prompt service and very professional. I recommend this service.

Very good. Took a few days to get all three. But, a very humane relocation process.

They repaired the where the squirrels damaged the roof. They came out daily to monitor the traps at no extra cost. They were very professional and extremely courteous. They removed all the worries I had.

Mike/Critter Control provided excellent service. I called the company prior to our property manager arranging for service because I  wanted to see if they worked on weekends (originally, I thought I had to be home so staff could come inside but found out in the course of the conversation that they investigate from the outside first). He explained the company policy about weekend work (only in emergencies) and answered a few questions I had about what was going on the attic. He was very thorough in the information he provided and seemed quite knowledgeable of the field. After the property manager set up the service, he came to the home to look into the issue. We were not home at the time, but he left a service notice and a request for us to call him. My boyfriend had gotten home first and contacted Mike. When I came home later that evening, I was filled in on the issue (we had starlings, and Mike had managed to get them out and close the entrance). My boyfriend then broke it to me that there was a nest of babies that Mike had been unable to reach. Apparently, my boyfriend had even gone in to the attic after talking with Mike to see if they could be reached that way but to no avail. I called Mike (this was after 6 PM!), and he gave me a run-down on what he had found (starlings - their status as an invasive species) and his attempts to retrieve the nest. I have a bit of a soft heart when it comes to animals, and I was bothered by the fact that the baby birds wouldn't survive with the current remedy in place. Mike explained that while starlings were an invasive species, they would not harm the property (unlike squirrels, who chew wires, etc.). He agreed to temporarily unseal the entrance to allow for the parents to feed their chicks/raise them until they fledged, then he'd return after that to seal the entrance once and for all (I'll know when they fledge because I can hear them every morning through the vent in my bedroom). That might sound ridiculous to some, but I would feel terrible allowing the birds to just die up there! Anyway, I really appreciated the extra mile Mike went to (1) explain services and the nature of the pest thoroughly, (2) respond promptly to phone calls and service request, particularly in taking after-hours phone calls (3) come up with a plan for critter control that would allow me to live with myself, even if it meant having to come back the next day to unseal the entrance and return at a later time to re-seal it. Through it all, he was very professional and seemed genuinely kind and customer-oriented. I would definitely recommend this company for your critter control needs!

Had an issue with an animal in my attic making crazy noises throughout the night. I called Mike and he assured me that he would come to take a look at 9 in the morning and he showed up on time. He checked to ensure there wasn't outside access for anything to climb in. He went inside my attic, discovered and showed me 3 bird nests, and some unconnected ductwork that was warming my entire attic instead of the actual house. He removed the nest and patched the location that the birds were coming in from. He also put a piece of siding up that the wind had blown loose the night before. All in all, it was a great experience and I would recommend using there service again.

The guy who came out was very nice...and that's about all the positive things I can say.  I have to admit that I didn't need any rodents or animals removed from my house, but that is not why I called them.  I explained exactly what I was looking for, and they said they would come out and do a "FULL" inspection for $150.  I wanted them to find out where the roof rats were coming in, and he admitted that this may be difficult to find.  I have never needed a service like this before, but in my mind I expected someone to come out and really inspect my house.   Go up in my attic and look around, walk the perimeter of my house, climb on my roof, etc.  He went in one part of my attic for 1 min and didn't look around.  He may have been on my roof for a couple of minutes.  He was friendly, and showed me what I could do myself instead of having them charge me...which I was told later by a better company I called that he didn't know what he was talking about.  This company is obviously only good for "critter" removal if the critter is actually in your house.  I was able to trap 4 roof rats in my attic and kill over 20 in my yard by myself and his words were "looks like you have it under control.  What I wanted them to do, and what they said they would do, was to do a complete inspection of my house inside and out....this did not happen.  I wouldn't use this company again unless I guess if your a person who can't trap an animal by yourself or something.  They promised me something that wasn't given, and handing that check over was painful.  I didn't realize how bad the inspection actually was until I called another company(pest control company) a couple weeks later and the guy came out and was here for 1 1/2 hours.  All up in my attic for ever, climbing all over my roof, and inspecting my whole house.  He found where they were coming in he believed....the A/C hose on the outside leading into the house.  He plugged it up for free and it was a no obligation inspection.

We had a black baby snake inside our home. I have to admit I was scared beyond belief when I discovered it in our bedroom....the 2nd floor!! Dan said the only way it got there was up the stairs....OMG!!!! My husband called CC that day after hours and we were still able to get a call back. Our home backs up to a wooded area and I had seen snakes before but never inside our home. Dan, the technician came out the next day. He was very professional and explained how the snake gained entry after he examined underneath the cabinets for spaces that may not be flush and bathroom for where pipes enter the house that may not be properly sealed. That was all intact so he examined the exterior of our home. Apparently the snake came in thru the open garage door, my husband had (no longer) a habit of leaving it open from the outside and into the house when he's going back and forth. Dan found and made repairs of where areas weren't properly sealed such as bottom of our garage doors, wide opening and very loose fitting crawlspace door and a few vents. He assured me everything is now okay and call back if there's any other issues. I pray we don't need them again though I'm still a bit skiddish, who wouldn't be.
