Awful. Awful After months and months of poor performance and sub-standard work. Still going on after this project started in June 2017. Be on the look out for the now for Clark Building Group. Clark Olsen promises it all and under delivers. After a while you can figure out he doesn't know anything about pools, electricity, concrete, etc. Our assigned Project Manager eventually admitted he did not know anything about pools and was a home builder. Clark actually stopped communication with us directly and we went through Project Manager. Now the project manager has quit so who knows what will happen. They buried the well point and still filled up the pool so wrinkles remain.

It started out great. Clark is a great salesman and very convincing that you are his number one priority. I was pretty upset to learn that we had to pay for the initial plan but he had me convinced that the job would go well and that it was all worth it so I spent the $1500. When he showed me the CAD I had payed for, I felt ripped off. We could have easily completed this job without having this, especially since there was little-to-no change in the original footprint of the driveway.
The demo went fairly well. They moved a few plants for us and didn't do much damage taking everything out. The crew was a subcontractor and only the foreman spoke English. This was surprising since Clark made it out like these guys worked for him.
After the demo, things slowly started going downhill. They didn't order enough aggregate to complete the job in one truck so we ended up with two sections that didn't match in color and texture. Worse than that though, the section wasn't poured the same day and according to the foreman, Clark was in such a hurry to move on to the next job that he didn't allow them to wait the proper amount of time before they hosed it off and sealed it. Once it dried, all of the edges were cracked and chipped and the color was obviously wrong. Where the new driveway met the older paved portion, they had slopped so much stain and residue onto the pavement that we weren't even able to powerwash it off and back to its original black color. They also slopped residue all over our cedar fence, garage, garage doors, and house. This stuff was impossible to get off. I told Clark and he assured me that they would take care of it all. His guys came out and used MY powerwasher to clean it up but they couldn't and put streaks all over my fence trying.
They ended up replacing the bad portion of the sidewalk but it is still not a decent match. We called him about it several times and now he doesn't even return our calls. I also found out from the foreman during the job that we were charged triple what we should have been.
And worse, after Clark supposedly painstakingly graded everything so that we would no longer have puddles and drainage problems, we do still have several puddles. Granted, they aren't as large as they were, there are still puddles and for over $18K I would expect there to be none as promised.
The other thing that really bothered me was that he moved our sidewalk out from the house a few feet and that extended the width of our flowerbeds. Since he said the job was "turn key," I assumed that would include restoring the beds. Shame on me for not making this clear. On top of the cost of the job, now I had to purchase fill dirt and mulch and replant what was removed from my beds.
I am really disappointed in the job and wish I had gone with another company.

All work was satisfactory and promptly completed. However, a number of the plants died over the Summer. Mr. Clark Olson never checked back on the project or further advised us. We e-mailed pictures of the distressed plants to him but got no response. Our advice to new clients would be to withhold a portion of the fee until completely satisfied with the viability of all plantings.

The worst home improvement/addition contractor that we have ever had to deal with. Clark Olson is a smooth, glib salesman that barely delivers on his promises. He advertises heavily on local radio because he probably does not get any repeat customers. He never sent anyone to our house to see his work because he knew that we would burn their ears off. He claims to work from a "plan and a budget" but he did not follow his plan and he busted the budget. He drew the plan ($2,500 extra!) and when it would not work, he tried to charge us extra. Both my wife and I came to dread dealing with him during the course of the project.
The only good thing is that he used a subcontractor for installing pavers and the retaining wall and they did a great job. Clark's crew was unreliable and took almost 3 months to finish the project. Plus they destroyed the yard, a fence and broke our water well. He did a slipshod job in restoring the yard and it took over a year to get the grass back.
Never again!!!

He is usually prompt. He has a crew, so he isn't doing the job all by himself. They clean up after themselves. What I don't like is that he is expensive.
