Jimmy Hines is the contractor from hell. He constantly brags about the quality of his work but his actual work is sup par to say the least. We hired him to do work on our rental property and it was a decision that we regretted shortly after hiring him. He did not start the work when he said he would and he did not notify us. When he did begin the work, he would become very augmentative whenever my husband questioned him about anything. Whenever we disagreed with something he suggested he would become very augmentative. When he finally completed the job, my husband and I met him at the property to do the walk through. My husband was very disappointed with the quality of his work and told him so. At this point he became extremely conformational with my husband trying to fight him and the police had to be called. I do not recommend hiring this contractor for any project. I wish I could give him less than a one star rating. Update: Reply to the service provider's response: Mr. Hines is a liar. We are not drug dealers nor slum lords. Anyone who has owned rental property knows that tenants will tear up your property. We deducted money from the total bill because of the terrible job that he did. We paid him for the work that he did because that was the agreement. We could have withheld his final payment but we are people of integrity unlike him. We had decided not to use him for the rest of the project due to his confrontational and combative nature. You don`t have to believe what we are saying, if you choose to hire him you will be greatly disappointed and that`s putting it mildly. He talks a good game so beware.

He was true to his word. I have had so many people, who made the problem worse instead of better. I have prayed for a long time for a trust worthy person. God answered my Prayer!

Jimmy is friendly, fair and hardworking. He repaired a small hole in a popcorn ceiling. I highly recommend him.

Jimmy Hines was really good to work with. Friendly, honest and fair. He and Dave stained my daughter’s balcony and Adirondack chairs. They came out great. Hire them!

I contracted Jimmy Hines to paint some interior and exterior surfaces. He was not on time once during the job which should have taken 2 days at the most, and has taken well over a week. After waiting for him for several days, he is still not finished. The paint on the kitchen walls is so patchy, I have had to hire someone else to repaint my kitchen and paint the trim on my shed door. I hate giving a bad review, but he did not bother to show up today, did not call, and did not answer when I called. I would never use him again.

Mr. Hines is a gentleman and very pleasant to work with. I felt as though we were old friends! He displayed a personal interest in my needs and concerns.

I was left unsatisfied with my project. Everything I was quoted for was completed in poor quality.

I will be hiring them to do other projects. As Jimmy says he can do anything.

Mr. Hines is a true professional. They called before accessing my property. Mr. Hines briefed me each day before starting to give me updates. He made recommendations and provided costs updates if it would change the contract. After painting my deck, I had them remove/replace the railing on my front porch. I plan to use him and his company for future projects. Highly recommend as the prices are reasonable and he and his crew are very professional. Thanks Jimmy for a job well done. I am extremely pleased with the paint job on my deck and the porch turned out beautifully.

Jimmy and his crew have done all sorts of work at our house, The biggest project was a complete kitchen remodel. They put in a new laminate floor, tiled the walls partway up and painted the upper part, and put up a faux tin ceiling that gets compliments from everyone who comes to our home, They installed new cabinets and all new appliances. The kitchen is completely transformed and looks fabulous. Among the other projects Jimmy and his crew have done for us: Rebuilt our shed. Installed all new windows. Power washed and painted the outside of the house. Painted some areas inside the house, including the stairwell. Put up curtain rods. Rototilled an area for a vegetable garden. Their work is always professional and excellent quality. Jimmy's prices are always reasonable. We've been very happy with everything they have done.

Poor quality job.

I had Cameo Painting install my backyard fence and my neighbor adjoining fence on one contract. We went over the job requirements, he made suggestions and completed everything we asked for in a timely manner.

Jimmy was fantastic to work with. Not only was his quote very reasonable, but he is a man of his word and really delivers on his work! Jimmy was punctual , dependable & quick! I would highly recommend him to anyone in Hampton Roads needing help on a home project.

They did what they said they would and showed up on time to do the job.
