Stay away from this guy -- Steve is not "budget", not "professional", and downright dangerous.  I called him to fix an emergency leak ... which he did. Took him less than 30 minutes and he priced it using some "book" ... $495. I didn't know it was expensive then. He recommended I replace two other water lines to prevent a future line break.  I did it ... $1000. He "fixed" it on a Monday. When he left, I called him right back because I had no water pressure. He came in and made a show of cleaning all my sink faucets and he turned the water shutoff valve "all the way open". He said there must be sand in the line and it would work itself out. It didn't. I called him three more times to have him come back, and the day before he came back, we discovered that in his testing of the line, they had left the outdoor hose running that goes into my neighbor's yard (so we never saw any water flow). I shut off the hose and water started leaking from our water shutoff valve under the house. When he arrived the next morning (he was a no-show the day before regardless that we had an appointment), he looked at the water shutoff valve, and said "Its broken, needs to be replaced ... we'll have to run a new water line for you, digging up the concrete and the yard." I asked him who was going to pay for that because he had broken it and he had left my water running for a week already (my water bill is $1000 !!) and said he needed to stand behind his work ... he refused. He said it was old, and it broke, and it wasn't his fault.  I kicked him off my property. This guy is bad news.

The first problem was that it took a week for them to do something that was supposedly only going to take a day or two. It was a constant mess everywhere the whole week they worked here. Then come to find out they didn't even put a cap on the sewer line and we ended up having to get them back out and do that.
