The man from Baker Home Improvement seemed to have taken up interest in the work that they were doing and his professionalism stands out to me.

Tim Baker and his employees really did an excellent job.  His carpenter was very skilled and we enjoyed his polite and friendly painters.  His office manager was a delight and always reachable by phone or email.

Everyone was professional and responded satisfactorily to my questions. My only complaint was that they were hard to get in touch with at times. However, once work was scheduled to begin everyone was prompt and worked hard and well.

I was satisfied with the work he did. I did not get an estimate on the painting job I needed. I called to remind him, but I decided to go with someone else.

My wife and I bought a fixer-up in Ghent. Our architectural review board required some repairs to the trim and a window lentil on the exterior of our home. A local paint store provided Tim's card in addition to two other contractors. Tim provided an excellent bid on the exterior trim and as he passed through our kitchen, commented that he also did custom kitchen repairs. We initially dismissed the claim, until he suggested repainting the existing cabinets and providing a low-cost kitchen overhaul. His ideas for the kitchen saved us $10,000 over the cost of having new cabinets installed. We gave him a cabinet door to paint as a sample, while he executed the exterior work. Meanwhile, I called three of his references and they all gave great reviews. While he finished the exterior trim work, he provided the sample cabinet door and we contracted him to paint all of the cabinets and finish all of the paint work on the interior of the house. The price for all of this work was less than the cost some contractors had provided for the cabinets alone. Not only did he save us a lot of money, his ideas were great and his team's workmanship was excellent. My wife and I are extremely detail oriented and have had some recent horrible experiences with contractors in this neighborhood. Tim is by far the best contractor for value and quality we've had in our home. We highly recommend his services and will probably hire him again soon.
