First doctor that did my knee replacement totally botched the job. My knee was stuck at a 95 degree angle and I had to walk on my tip toes for 18 months before I found Dr. Anthony Carter. He fixed the problems by doing a revision of the original surgery and I haven't had any problems since. He did a partial knee replacement on my other knee and all went well with that surgery but there were "strings" like twine left in my knee that I assume were used to tie ligaments and tendons out of the way but they weren't removed before closing up. As a result, they started coming up out of my leg six weeks after surgery and they acted as a wick and I ended up getting a serious knee infection because Dr. Carter's physician assistant took the strings out but not test me for infection, My rheumy dr. is the one who figured out I had an infection in my knee and started me on antibiotics which cleared it up, Dr. Carter is a great dr. but after surgery, you get handed off to his P.A. who is not as good, he should have tested to make sure I didn't have an infection because my knee was hot at the time he removed the strings which he kept. He should take a bath and do his laundry because he stunk so bad, it made the whole office smell.

Went well. The Doctors secretarial staff was not as punctual.

Dr. Campbell provided medical care for my broken leg.  He is personable, knowledgeable and professional.  I found him to be a real joy (and I know many doctors!).  I could not have asked for a more competent health care provider.  He assuaged my fears and concerns and was spot on with my prognosis and the time line for my healing.  I am so glad he is younger than I in that he has become my orthopaedic physician/surgeon for life.  Thank you, Dr. Campbell.  Mille grazie!

My experiences with Doctor Budorick have been consistent since my first appointment with him 5-6 years ago.  In fact, I didn't realize it was the same doctor I visited back then until I was again looking for treatment and returned last year.  Dr. B comes across as friendly and patient, but to me his sole focus on surgical treatment does not serve the well-being of the patient.  He again communicated that surgery did not make sense for me, which I was relieved to hear.  When pressed on what I can do to help maintain a healthy back and prevent any progression of my condition, he had no suggestions whatsoever.  I asked if there were any physical therapists who specialized in scoliotic backs or any who had better results when working with backs.  He was not aware of any at all.  I have to give credit that he asked his secretary to call me with one suggestion for a therapy office later, but the issue of a specialist in spines having no good advice and alternatives outside of surgery is a major one for me.
I will also mention that when I visited him 1 year ago for a checkup, he said that the x-rays were not done in the same way as the one from the original scan 5-6 years ago so it was not possible to compare whether the scoliosis had progressed.  This was the main reason I had come to see him.  This year he said the curve seemed similar as last year, but did not share degree measurements, which have always been the key piece of information referenced in appts with other doctors since I was diagnosed with the condition as a teenager and everything I've read online since.

Surgery went really well, took maybe 10 minutes for the actual procedure.  When I went back for the follow up and to have the stitches out (there were only 2) I arrived early and was taken back early.  The assistant took the stitches out and I didn't have to wait very long before Dr. Kline came in to check my wrist, everything looked good and I was out of there quickly.  I was very happy with the care I received from Dr. Kline and the office staff at the Princess Anne location which is where I saw him for the post op follow up.  They were very professional and prompt.  I have already recommended Dr. Kline to a coworker who is considering surgery for carpal tunnel.

Very satisfied with the care I rec'vd from Dr. Campbell.  Worked with excellent physical therapist Dave Gregory.  The office staff at the Chesapeake location, which is where I saw Dr. Campbell and Dave, were great, very helpful and friendly, worked with me on setting up payment plan because my insurance didn't pay much on the PT.  Would recommend Dr. Campbell & Dave Gregory without hesitation.

Dr. Markham is wonderful. He is attentive to his patients and remembers them and their history. I have been going to see him for over 7 years now and would highly recommend him.

they could not help my Mother based on her condition, however I thought the bedside manner of the Doctor was not that good and the 1st appointment the computer could not open her MRI that was on a CD and he wanted her to have another, which insurance would not cover. I had to call northern Virginia to get the films and make another appoint that took 3 more weeks and then I took them to the appoint and he said he was able to get the CD open to read, I was speechless because I think the fist appoint he should have been prepared he had all the paperwork and CD weeks prior to her 1st appointment. I would not go back to this organization again.

Surgery performed a day before my birthday.  Great present! After scoping to clean up the painful knee, he also found a floating piece of cartilage which he removed. DePaul's surgery protocol along with Dr Shaffer's is right on target.  Once done, he checks up on you before you leave the hospital to make sure you and your family knows exactly what happened.  Over the past 13 years he has done 3 knee surgeries on me (arthroscopic clean-ups) and one time one cleanup included a two sided meniscus repair. All with no adverse effects.  He also has done both my hip joints--bilateral bursa resections and has greatly increased the quality of life in reducing my everyday pain.  My husband has also been seen my Dr Shaffer and had shoulder surgery.  Great results.  I'll be needing to make another appointment with him in the near future.  I would NEVER go to anyone else!  

Surgery went  perfectly and he was able to reconstruct instead of doing a shoulder replacement.  He is still monitoring me while I am doing physical therapy three times a week.

During the initial consultation I found Dr Budorick to be very personable, extremely knowledgeable and totally present. I felt like his attention was totally focused on me and my situation, not the next patient to be seen or the surgery he was scheduled to do the next day. He was very thorough in giving me the reasons for needing the surgery and he went over every possible complication and risk. He answered all my questions in detail and by the end of the visit I had complete confidence that I had chosen the correct surgeon.
On Wednesday, June 5th, I had an anterior cervical discectomy, corpectomy and fusion surgery with cage, plate and screws and if one can have a positive experience with a major surgery then I can certainly say that is what I did have. I was out of bed and walking the day after surgery and was discharged before lunch the day after that, on Friday, June 7th. I really had very little pain to speak of.
I am now in a soft collar and started driving last week. I am hoping to start work part time this week and to be back to work full time by the beginning of September.
The office staff is great but I must give special cudos to Dr Budorick's secretary, Mary Harris. She is a real gem, so patient, kind and helpful. I can't say enough wonderful things about her.
I would highly recommend Dr Budorick to anyone needing spine surgery and he will be my surgeon of choice for any procedures I may need in the future.

Dr. Schaffer repaired a meniscus tear in my right knee.  The surgery took place exactly at the time and day scheduled.  His entire staff was extremely friendly as well as efficient.  I was treated with respect, kindness, and consideration every step of the way.  My office visit before surgery was also a pleasant experience.  I was only in the waiting room for about 15 minutes or so before seeing Dr. Schaffer.  
Dr. Schaffer also replaced my ACL 13 years ago, and the surgery was a huge success as I have been able to perform many tasking athletic events without pain or hesitation.    When I attended my physical therapy sessions, the therapists were all impressed with his work and continuously asked me who did the work.  The recovery time progressed unusually fast, and apparently the scar was much less than what they had seen in other patients.  The therapists said I had a really good surgeon.
I highly recommend Dr. Schaffer.  Due to the results of the two knee surgeries he has performed on me, I have a very high level of confidence in his work.

He's a superb surgeon. In fact, he's the kind of individual that repairs people who had bad back operations. His office is so busy, he's absolutely an incredible surgeon.

The Physical Therapy department in the Camelot office are the best in the business. Cindy and Robin are nothing short of incredible!

Drs. bedside manner needs serious intervention. She was cold, crass and no at all sympathetic to my pain and issue. She was more concerned about my mental health and weight than dealing with the continuing pain from my back, which was diagnosed as buldging disc in the L-3, L-4 ans S-1. Did not go back as i left extremely frustrated and upset. I know see a different pain managment Dr. and he is a jewel and has helped me a lot.

Ten days after the initial fracture, I was admitted to AOS's surgical suite for my out-patient surgery. Everyone was very competent and compassionate. The surgery was completed quickly and efficiently. My wrist healed without event and functions today just as it did before the fracture. I have recommended AOS since then and will continue to do so.

After visiting Dr. Shall over a few months for diagnosis and cortisone shots and undergoing physical therapy, he performed knee surgery on me for 2 torn menisci and a patella release.  He has an excellent bedside manner and makes you feel comfortable.  I'm still recovering from the surgery, but everything went very well.  I was put under general anesthesia and didn't feel a thing.  He practices out of 3 different offices in Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.  His Physician's Assistant, Patrick, is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful too.  I would definitely recommend Dr. Shall.  Also, my family doctor recommended him to me as an excellent knee surgeon.
