We agreed to let this contracter do the job because he had done siding for our house and we were happy with the whole experience. We had a second floor added to our house which was the master bedroom and bathroom. He did the demolision before having all the materiels and we had no roof for three weeks. During that time our house got flooded causing water damage to the first floor. We the materials came in the framers were next and we finally got a roof. They put in the stairway wrong but it did pass the inspection. The insulation in the walls were next and they didn't do a complete job - we did that later. There was supposed to be insulation blown in but that never happened. Next was drywall, then the bathroom and plumber was hired no problems there. The electrician did a lousy job, lights put in wrong and the wiring was not good but the new panel is good and passed inspection. Don't ask me how this guy did ok with one thing and completely off the next. The second floor was not finished and the contracter wanted to do repairs and did it against out wishes. This was after days of repeated absences, putting in a few hours then leaving and a 8 week job turns into six months and we then fired him. We took him to arbitration through the BBB and won a small settlement that he has not paid.
