Terrible. I hired someone to relieve the stress of decorating our new addition. I received nothing but more stress. Unfortunately I was not knowledgeable about interior decorators. I had never worked with one. I wish I had done my research. Alyssa Martin took advantage of my lack of knowledge. She saw me coming I guess. Fortunately, I didn't pay her 100% upfront, as she requested. Though, I did give her half, which was $2,550, plus a $250 initial consultation fee. She rarely responded to emails, her voicemail was full, and she insisted on phone calls and zoom meetings. After having a funny feeling about paying her the other half with nothing to show for it, I started talking to others in the field and found out this is not the way things are done. Thank God, before I gave her any other money and also purchased $5,000 of merchandise she was suggesting, I came to my senses and found out she was taking me for a ride. I doubt I would have gotten anything from her. Don't walk but run from this woman! I may be out of almost $3,000 with nothing to show for it, but at least I haven't lost much more.
