4 skylights are leaking. The work was performed by Kevin and I am completely satisfied and confident I received appropriate advise and remediation. I was provided pictures and verbal/written explanations of the skylight's condition and possible causes for the leaks. Flashing, nail holes and a crack were calked. Recommendations for repair or replacement were discussed.

We feel we were scammed. We knew our skylight was leaking from the marks on the ceiling so we purchased this "deal" to have it inspected, maintained and repaired. The company sent a rep out to our home, he went on the roof, took photos of our skylights, came down and told us various ways we could test to see where the leak was coming from. He then said we could pay him $300 to caulk it if thats what we wanted, so I explained thats what we paid the $99 for. He had no idea what I was talking about so I had to show him the "deal". Thats when he said "Caulking can't be done in this weather" So we asked him why he came and he said "to educate you on skylights". It has been pointed out to me by Angies list that this company does indeed give FREE estimates. We feel we ONLY received a free "verbal" estimate and yet we paid $99.00 We want our money back from this company since we were provided NO services.

The skylight failed because of the failure of components that controlled the ability to open and close window. it.  As stated above, the factory rapidly sent repair components to our home.  A technician was sent to install them and the system was restored to operation.

All of this work was done at absolutely no cost to us because the skylight was under warranty.

Provider was flexible about scheduling around installation date to avoid
having a hole in the roof on a rainy or extremely cold day. 
Installation was quick and professional, and of good quality. 
Carpenter/installer was very helpful in advising about the best location
to place the light.  Love the diffuse light the light tunnel provides.

Good service and 10 year warranty. They had a 10 % off coupon in the newspaper they honored.

We needed more ventilation in our master bathroom and a skylight that offered the ability to easily open and close was the answer to that requirement.  
The salesman arrived as scheduled, and after listening to our requirements and looking at the existing skylights, presented options that led us to our final selection.  We were impressed with the quality of his products and were also impressed with a list of commercial customers that selected his products and services in the past.
The installers arrived on time and proceeded to remove the old skylight in the master bathroom. This part of the job was all done from the exterior of the house in about one and a half hours.  Next they installed the new skylight and provided excellent interior trim work in about two and a half hours.  The completed job was very professional.  They then explained how to control the device with the remote and also explained various other features of the system.
Next they removed two old skylights in the TV room and installed two standard replacement skylights.  This portion of the job was completed in a little over an hour.
We are extremely happy with the finished installations that were provided as promised with little effort on our part.  

Jimmy was on time and very helpful. Had 1 sun tunnel was wrong size. He had to go back to shop the get the correct size. I am not sure who made the error but once Jimmy returned everything went smooth. Very professions. We are happy and lighting of our living room is better than we expected.

It went perfectly.  The guys were professional, courteous and knowledgeable.  They completed the job in one day.  They offered their assistance when I open the pool and said to call them whenever I had questions about anything concerning the panels or the water system.  I definitely refer them to anyone who is considering solar panels for heating a pool or for electricity.

Entire process was smooth, professional, timely beginning with the estimate all the way through completion of the work. The one critique is that the workman did a poor job of cleaning scraps up from the yard once the work was completed, which was actually significant as it was large and small pieces of metal, nails, and shingle fragments all around the area where pets and children play. We recommend  that clean-up be specifically mentioned as a priority when getting an estimate and, with that in mind, we would definitely use this company again.

The experience was an A, and I would highly recommend the company to anyone needing this type of work

Mr. Jimmy came to the house and gave us the estimate in a timely fashion.  The installation was done smoothly and quickly.  We are very pleased.

Jimmy was on time. He  replaced all 4 skylights and did the  repairs to the roof in less than half a day. He cleaned the area and removed old skylights and roofing. He did a very good job. He also gave us a Military Discount.

We saw the solar powered attics fans at a recent home show and asked Solar Lighting of VA to give us an estimate. It took a few weeks to get the estimate but the saleman, Jimmy, did a quality job on the estimate. He provided good and logical advice for the products they have and how/where they would install them. It was a zero pressure sales pitch and I think Jimmy was surprised when I said 'When get we get the installation scheduled'. It took two weeks to get a date we could both make work out. The installer arrived early (a postive) and did try to call first. Installation was pretty fast for the remove and replace old fan, a bit more involved for removing the static vent and enlarge the hole to install the second fan. The order could have been written up a bit clearer on how to install the second fan, he was surprised when I said to replace the static vent. It all took about two hours. I can tell the difference in the rooms below where the fans are now pulling out hot air!

This was a great experience from start to finish. The salesman came to my home and made sure all of my questions were answered. The technician told me what he was doing each step of the way and was very patient in helping me decide the exact best placement for each tube to get the maximum benefit. The job took less than the estimated time. The technician cleaned up everything as he went and removed all of the trash, too.
